Great choice of teas and coffees, great service nice surroundings. The gents was bit strange think it was a converted cupboard. The day was quite cold we did not sit outside but the views as we went in were nice from the veranda.

Mu husband and I, while staying at a local campsite, decided to take our two young kids here for a sit down meal as a wee change from the camp food. What a mistake! We were approached by a waiter for our order before we'd even had a chance to open the menus. Once we'd ordered, and the waitress brought the drinks, we noticed they'd forgotten my son's juice. He had to wait an additional ten minutes to get his drink and I had to remind them twice more. This would have been understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but we were the only customers. What was keeping to staff distracted from their jobs was that the were literally closing up around us. At 6 o'clock on a Saturday night! There were no signs outside to tell us that or we wouldn't have gone in, and the waiter certainly didn't mention it when they were charging us their inflated prices. The staff were mopping under our feet, locking up doors, bringing in all the outside furniture and piling it beside us as we ate and hovering around us like they couldn't get rid of us fast enough. The last straw was when they all had their coats on and stood around the bar counting their tips while we tried to wolf down our meal to get out of there. An absolutely disgraceful way to treat paying customers and, though we are regular visitors to Mallaig, we will never set foot in this place again. Also, the food was distinctly average, which is incredibly disappointing for a seafood restaurant next to a fishing harbour. Frozen chips, tasteless fish and overpriced everything. Avoid this place at all costs!

Service and food quality are top notch. If you can, get a table before the train comes in. It's gonna get crowded!

Busy place with nice food. Not cheap but we were happy with what we had. In a nice spot with tables outside which we liked.
