Went here for a meal having travelled on the steam train. Had a window table with a fantastic view out to the harbour. The staff were lovely and the food was great. Great place to choose to eat.

I've been here a few times now and if you love the freshest of seafood then this is the place to go! The langustines were the biggest I've ever seen, they were live mini lobsters. The mussels were perfectly cooked in a creamy garlicky broth which partnered a slice of bread excellently. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and the staff were welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Can't wait for my next trip up to Mallaig!

I had the doversole as a main, everything about it was beautiful! the fish itself was delectable and so was the sauce. The side vegetables were also lovely. Had the pear and ginger pudding for dessert and it was lovely also. Beautiful scenery, beautiful location in the centre of town and excellent service.

Booked fairly last minute for a one night stay. Room was excellent and there was a lounge with tea and coffee making facilities which would have been useful and pleasant if the weather had been poor. Evening meal was superb and breakfast suited both the full Scottish fan and my taste for smoked salmon and scrambled egg.

The flyer handed out on the Jacobite steam train promoted this restaurant's view, but it just looks out over a fishing port. Not picturesque. But the food made up for that. We had classic fish and chips (11 pounds) that were amazing, and the scallops, although 22 pounds, were very good as well. The service was fantastic, and the ambience was pleasant too. It's a nice way to spend your break if you're doing the round trip train ride. But try to get a window table. Because looking out over the boats is better than nothing. Wine by the glass (4 - 7 pounds) makes for a relaxing lunch or dinner as well.
