We spend the night here when we found the pass to Apple Cross blocked by snow for our motorcylces.

Spending the evening and night at Rockvilla was perfect - so after all we where very happy nature forced us there! We had a great room - clean and in a perfect state, a great dinner and a verry warm and kind welcome of the owners.

The next day we where able to continue our journey, but we will certainly come back and spend more days at this verry pleasant and welcoming place!

We recently sent 4 nights here during a recent walking holiday in Wester Ross. Our room was a good size, with a really comfortable bed with a great view over the loch. Our bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean with plenty of fresh towels and little extras. Wendy is a great cook and the breakfasts were ample and delicious. We also had dinner there one evening and although one of our friends requires a gluten free diet, Wendy was on the case making sure that she was well catered for. Food was locally sourced and well cooked. In general the location of the guesthouse is well placed for other travel within that locality and for trying other restaurants etc in the village. I would really recommend this guesthouse and you can be sure of a great welcome from Peter and Wendy.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms at the front to get a great view of the loch and the mountains behind.

I had five days and nights at the Rockvilla in September. My room was spotlessly clean and i had my own shower room. I found Pete and Wendy to be very friendly, hospitable and helpful hosts. The breakfasts and dinners were absolutely superb, their steaks being some of the nicest i have tasted in a long time. For anyone finding themselves in Lochcarron or thereabouts, i would not hesitate to recommend the Rockvilla as the place from which to base themselves.

We spent one night here in mid September during a whistle tour of the Highlands. Our room was comfortable with a gorgeous view over the Loch. We had a private bathroom although it was across the corridor, which was no great problem.
The breakfast was huge and beautifully cooked and Wendy was very welcoming.

Room Tip: A front room overlooking the Loch!

We had a wonderful week at Rockvilla. Wendy and Pete were delightful hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Wendy's cooking is superb and she prides herself on using local fresh ingredients, she even invited us to choose our own menu if there was anything special we desired. This we did on several occasions. The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation was excellent. We have informed all our friends and relatives of the delights of Rockvilla and the beauty of the Wester Ross coastal path.

Room Tip: The first floor en-suite bedroom has two views of the loch and a huge, comfortable bed. There is also...

We recently had a wonderful stay at the Rockvilla Guest House in Lock Carron. Wendy, Peter and Ben were especially friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our accommodation was really excellent, with a spectacular view looking over the loch and surrounding mountains. We ate in the restaurant, the breakfast is very good and more than ample (ideal if you are bagging a Monroe, walking or diving the lochs), the evening meals are varied , well presented and delicious. Thank you Ben for getting up extra early to make us a Breakfast sarnie for the way home. We will return (stock up on Red Cuillins).

We have been to Lochcarron several times and we love it. One of our favourite places to eat is the Rockvilla. The menu is wonderful: both local fare (my husband loves Cullen Skink and swears that the Rockvilla makes the best) and more exotic dishes (do try the stirred fried beef!) are served in a lovely dining room by a lovely staff (thank you Ben!). Excellent beer and wine, great desserts and just a perfect atmosphere to relax in after a day walking the hills. Prices are very fair. Reservations are recommended on busy summer weekends
