The Queensberry is located right in the centre of Annan, not the prettiest town in Scotland but it served its purpose on our way back from a holiday there. The room we stayed in had recently been refurbished to a very good standard and was very confortable, the only negative was that the en-suite was in need of a little attention decor wise, but it was clean and perfectly serviceable. The hotel dining room and bar area are a little tired but after talking to the owners they said they are in the long process of updating everything. Again these areas were clean and serviceable.

The meals in the hotel are excellent value, We had the 3-courses for £10.25. The wine list was also very reasnoble. For this we had a very nice meal, all fresh and plenty of it. Breakfast was again very nice, cereals, juice and a full english with tea or coffee.

All this was topped by the price of £45 for a double room for the night for 2 of us. So bed breakfast and evening meal for the 2 of us worked out at £75. Superb value and a very comfortable stay.
