2 adults and 5 very hungry and experimental children had one of the best meals in a long time. ( apart from the Bellagio and the Stratosphere in Vegas ) front of house welcoming and waitresses not intrusive but always around and any extra requests met efficiently. Kids had duck, steak and sea bass with accompanying sauces on the side at request so they could try them ........ Which they did love. Quail and cassoulet was amazing as was Chinese pork starters, steak perfect medium rare as requested and as for lemon posset with meringue and raspberries well that was just the perfect finish to a perfect meal. Price for meal with cokes for kids and glass of wine £146 before tip £160 all in

I had a lovely evening with good friends at The Church street New Zealand wine event.
We wined and dined in an upstairs private room which was great for atmosphere. The food was excellent with one highlight being the Brioche bread and butter pudding. Service was swift and friendly which made this type of evening enjoyable. I believe we were the last to vacate the building but i cannot wait to come back to sample the food in the downstairs restaurant. Well done to all involved.

I thought we would try Church St as I had heard good reports.
Table duly booked, we arrived early just after 8. The restaurant was not full although it did fill more after we arrived.
We ordered wine and then our food. I asked for Scallops for starter only to be told that there were none left, that they were gone because of the early bird menu! What about the later birds! Get a few more portions next time. You will sell them.
Mains and again my wife ordered turbot, again none left. She had to have an alternative.
However what we had was good if a tad expensive. Our bill came to almost 100 pounds for 2.
I would go back again.

Visited early on a Saturday night for a quick bite with friends. Food is delicious. Mini Paella for starter and the Sirlion Steak for main, both extremely tasty and well presented, and, at £10 for 2 courses on the early bird excellent value for money. Staff are attentive and friendly yet professional and none intrusive. Will definately be back, next time will stay a little longer. Great spot for a relaxed night out with good food, great service and realistic pricing. Although it has a great wine menu you can also BYO (£3 corkage) and with an excellent off licence just up the street, you can have a good value yet great quality night out.

This was our forth dining experience in the restaurant. On each occasion we have opted for the two courses for £10 deal and have not been disappointed. Tthe menu varies unlike similiar offers in other venues. The food is beautifully presented and delicious, cooked to perfection, i would and do recommend this restaurant to others. I one very minor negative comment and thta is the very bright lights which do not cretae a good ambience.
