Always a nice atmosphere here; consistently friendly welcome (although Emma often seems preoccupied), great furniture and décor, choice of rooms, including upstairs and tiny outside garden for the hot days. I'd appreciate a slightly wider variety of food (so many local producers whose tarts, pies and so on would be easy to provide), and above all enough salad garnish to accompany the dishes, not just a couple of leaves, a teaspoon of coleslaw and tiny three slices of cherry tomato; seems a small thing but when you're faced with a large dry sandwich the garnish has to be significant, otherwise you find yourself having to order a separate green salad after your meal arrives.
Could we have some more recent magazines or papers too, please?
Nit-picking? Unfortunately that's what review sites encourage; but to end on a more positive note...I shan't stop going to Emma's, and I love the changing art works on the walls.
