Stayed on Fri 6 Dec in room 32. Fantastic all round apart from not being able to get parked in the hotel car park. My partner had to get up early the next day to move the car. He might have marked it down but I stayed in bed hence the 5*. The quality of the breakfast was super! As for the noise, our room was in the roof. We heard a bit of shouting from the street but nothing we wouldn't expect from being in the middle of any town on a Friday night.

Stayed here after a Friday night to see Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds gig at the Picturedrome , And the Old Bridge fared quite well for the general cleanliness , friendly and helpful staff , nice enough room {No 25} and the breakfast was good and plentifull .
But the big let down and it was a BIG let down was the NOISE !!!
The loud thumping music went on until well after 2 am .The windows need sound proofing or something needs doing . I stuffed my ears with cotton wool and could still hear it .
We normally stay at Sunny bank when we visit Holmfirth {Beautiful, quiet and very relaxing} and wished we had done so this time .

Room Tip: Avoid rooms over looking the entrance on a weekend .

Stayed for a couple of nights in September. Staff were excellent, incredibly friendly, very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Other reviewers have mentioned the nearby night club, but we heard nothing! The food was superb, well cooked, well presented, and more than we could eat. Were there any negatives, well not really, the car park was a bit tight for space, and could do with a better signpost. Will we go back, that's a big yes, in fact we hope to return next year, this time on the bike to enjoy the wonderful roads and scenery!
We were also fortunate to be there when the food fair was on! An incredibly array of food from all areas of the world, and the variety of aromas drifting over the car park was amazing.

One should not attempt to compare the Old Bridge to a luxury independent or chain hotel that was constructed for just that purpose. However, the owners have done quite well in adapting a very old former home into the much-needed (and only) hotel in Holmfirth. There are some drawbacks to the location, such as lack of parking and noisy neighbors on weekend nights, but these are beyond the hotel’s control. Also, there are some nights when air conditioning would be welcome but this has seldom been an issue for me. However, on the plus side, the hotel is located in the center of town just a few steps from four bus stands, is clean and comfortable, has excellent food and a staff that always makes me feel welcome. Thanks Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, and all the rest.

Just back from a night away at the Old Bridge been on several occasions and never been disappointed. Bedrooms are all really quirky and different and this time got the "honeymoon" room, very nice bathroom and a balcony. The breakfasts are exceptional and could feed a family of 4. Staff are more than helpful and your made to feel really welcome, highly recommend it and will definitely be staying again. Its right next door to the Picturedome venue which has some great bands on, perfect location.

Room Tip: Every room I've stayed in has been fine no matter whether its at the back or the front of the ho...

Stayed in the box room! could not open the door fully because it hit the bed! Stayed in a room at the front of the Pub/Hotel when the nightclub finished the singing in the street went on until 2-3am. The food was great though.
