Unusual and interesting layout. More a cafe than a restaurant and open mostly in the daytime, with some evening functions. Kitchen on ground floor. Quite small dining area + toilets on first. Very tasty food indeed and well presented. Not particularly expensive for Holmfirth and well worth a visit. Dining area quite hot the day we called (cooking heat rises). Young lady who served us was up and down the quite steep stairs like a yo-yo - which is probably why she was so enviably and delightfully slim, Excellent and attentive service. Not much parking in immediate vicinity so if in a car you are best to use one of the car parks (Crown Bottom Car Park, near the large Co-op, is cheap and large - cross bridge over river and walk through gardens in direction of Parish Church and cross further road at main junction to reach the premises). Not disabled friendly in view of stairs to main facilities.
