“Beautiful Walk in Natural Forest Setting”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

We enjoyed a family walk through Winkworth Park, a very natural forest setting with a beautiful lake. Though late November we had nice fall color with the red Japanese Maples and some wonderful yellow foliage as well. We sat outside after our walk at the little café and had hot cocoa, coffee, ice creams and desserts.

“Easy stroll, even in the midst of the floods!”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

Visited the Arboretum for a mid-afternoon walk expecting only to be able to stroll the higher paths since we have a large number of flood warnings and alerts today (mid-Jan 14), but it was all open and navigable and is truly an NT site for all weathers
We've visited quite a few times across the seasons and although autumn is obviously the most picturesque - for the colours - it was lovely today in mid-winter as it is across the whole year.

“Christmas Cheer”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Went on a very long walk just after boxing day and was amazed to find the tea room at Winkworth Arboretum was open! how fantastic as we were in need of lunch. great soup being served, and loads of freshly made cakes, even though power had been off for ages. well worth a visit.

“Stunning Autumn Colours”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We recently passed a very pleasant sunny autumn morning at Winkworth Arboretum. We were impressed by the amazing range of different trees and shrubs and the colours in mid November were almost unbelievable in places. Also impressive are the well signposted walks of different lengths and difficulties, including some accessible for those with mobility problems. The car park was very busy and rather treacherous in places after some heavy recent rains. We did not try the café as there is limited inside seating and it was a bit chilly to sit outside. (But Godalming is nearby with a wide range of restaurants and coffee shops....)

“A place of tranquility”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

A walk around the Arboretum at Winkworth gives you marvellous views and plenty of chances to sit and take in the scenery. You can choose different lengths of walk depending upon whether you want to walk down to the lake or stay at the top. Have fun and take a picnic!
