We stayed in our caravan and tent here and had a love time we have 5 childern and they absolutely loved the baby goats (kids) although my 6yr old still dosnt believe me there called kids. We love the close ness it brings being a basic site its what we wonted would love to stay longer but cant cope with out showers more the couple of days. Made owners could look into solar shower id stay much longer lovely site. And owners very friendly and helpfull cant fault them at all. A brilliant bk to nature site and will definitely go bk again as not far but feels like you realy get away. :-) thank you from sarah craig and children :-)

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 days spent at Wookey Farm. We stayed in our VW camper on a spacious level pitch with electric hook up. We loved the tranquility and the ethos of the farm adds to the feel good factor. We can highly recommend the goat based products in the farm shop, the goat tagine was fantastic! we also sampled the spicy goat sausages, herby cheese and Brie style cheese, all excellent. It is in a convenient location to sight see around the area, we were able to visit Cheddar Gorge and Wells before heading back to the site. We look forward to visiting next year in the spring time.

Wookey Farm Campsite is part of a Goat Farm near the village of Wookey - as described on its website it is spacious in a pleasant spot near a small river with very basic facilities - three loos, drinking water tap, one small wash basin & no showers. Electricity points were provided on pitches and a small kiosk sells goats cheese goats milk and various goat dishes.

The dozen or so pitches are well spaced with lots of room for kids to play games in the central area. When full up to 40+ adults & children could be on the site putting pressure on the only three toilets provided - two "eco" toilets and one ageing portaloo which was often not left as one would wish to find it (the site has no mains drainage)

Our verdict would be - fine for "good life addicts" in tents or for glampers in motor homes & caravans with their own facilities.

My family and I from Cambridge stayed at this wonderful site for 4 nights over the Easter holidays and we loved it. The owners were so friendly and encouraged our two little girls to come and feed the kids and meet the goats. Such a wonderful hands on experience for us all. The children loved being able to cuddle up with them in their pens and give them their milk. The site is ideally located near some beautiful places and we had fun in nearby Bath, Wells, Cheddar and Wookey hole. Again we use our own facilities but we did use the compost toilets once and thought they were brilliant. Such a great idea and wonderful for the environment. The price was fantastic and with hook up we were really happy with the nightly rate.
The owners have all sorts of meat for sale and we bought some sausages home which have been delicious.
Would highly reccomend this site to others. Peaceful tranquility with fun for the children all rolled into one. When were next in the area we will defiently come back.

We have just spent two days at this lovely little site. Ian and Sarah, our hosts, were friendly and welcoming and very relaxed.
Our children had the best fun being around the animals, watching goats being born, cuddling up to the baby goats in the pens and generally doing lots of other outdoorsy things. They didn't want to leave - and neither did we. It was quiet, clean and beautiful. A slice of tranquility in lives that are too busy. Just brilliant!

We returned from 9 days in our caravan at Wookey Farm on 8th April 2013 and we (2 adults and an 8 month old Jack Russell puppy) loved every minute of our stay.
The owners were friendly and made us all feel very welcome.. The goats were kidding and everyone was welcome to visit them. It was nice to see
The children thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to ask questions, pet the goats, and hold the kids. Recycle bins with printed details of how to use
them are located on each pitch. This clean and tidy close to nature site allows you the best of both worlds, relax at the tranquil campsite soaking up the
beautiful views, enjoy the fabulous walks along the river with plenty of space and unspoilt countryside or if you want to get out and about its the perfect
location with Cheddar Gorge, Weston Supermare, Brean and Bath to name a few just a short journey away. As the website states
there are no shower facilities and We didn't use the site toilets
as we like to make the most of our own facilities but we did notice staff cleaning them daily. As the average cost of a pitch without electric is
£10 to £16 per night this site with spacious pitches, electric hook up and all it has to offer is excellent value for money.
We were lucky to find this gem of a site and are looking forward to returning for a longer stay in August.
