We visited wookey hole on mon 6th aug 2012 and it was the biggest rip off of our whole holiday! £16 per person and when we got to the caves we couldnt take our pushchair in and the caves were unsuitable to carry a small child so i was unable to enter so i couldnt see any of the other attractions either as there all only accessable via the caves which was not explained on entry to the park so therefore a waste of £16. My husband and the rest of the party did go to the caves an were very dissapointed the caves have not been maintained at all and were very rundown and nothing like advertised in the leaflet overall i wouldnt reccommend this park to anyone its a total rip off.

We visited on Fri 3rd Aug and used kids go free voucher, saving a few pounds making this much better value. Caves were great, very interesting but a little difficult to hear guide due to other kids in group and would have liked more time to look around. Other onsite attractions were good too. We had a couple of dinosaur fans so seeing the variety throughout the park was good fun. Kids loved the crazy golf but it got very busy quickly and I felt I rushed the kids through. Panning for gold must have been the best value through at £2 each as they were at it for blinking ages. They loved it. There really is plenty to keep you going here with the circus stuff, old style amusements where you exchange your cash for old pennies. Mirror maze, paper making and other things to see and do. Wasn’t too taken by the food options though, bit pricey and nothing special at all. Should have taken a picnic.
The gift shop was interesting and not at all overpriced.
I really enjoyed this day trip and kids really liked it.
Location was a bit difficult with very small eerie country roads. Sat nav sent us on tiny roads with trees down, not passable. Difficult to pass other cars and quite dangerous at times so had to guess other route out of area onto bigger road.
Overall glad we went and with free kids vouchers can’t complain.

We went to Wookey Hole Caves on Sunday 5th August. It was a rainy day so I was surprised to see how busy it was, we had to park a bit away from the entrance but at least there was no queing for tickets. We managed to find 'kids go free' vouchers so instead of a family ticket costing £49!, we paid £32 which is a more realistic price.
We went to the caves first which was great, dark and spooky and the guide was informative but not too much to bore the kids. You come out of the caves and into the gardens, the kids loved the giant gorilla and dinosaurs and we had some pictures taken as cavepeople which is fun!
Next we went to the Circus Show which was my favourite part of the day, the children were so talented and the show was very professional and entertaining. By now, we were a bit short on time so we rushed off to get some food. We went to the Witch's Kitchen and I would say to give this a miss, the food was terrible and overpriced, not sure what the other restaurant was like but I would maybe pay a bit more to eat here or take a packed lunch.
The kids then spent some time in the indoor play area which was great, they would have stayed there all day! It has a Wizards Castle theme and a big tunnel that runs from one room to another which is a novelty for the kids.
Before home, we spent some time in the penny arcade which was fun but a lot of the machines weren't working, we also had fun in the mirror tunnel, I was happy to escape without walking into a wall! We didn't use the golf or panning of gold as theses incurred extra charges but they looked good.

To sum up, we had a good day, with plenty to keep us occupied but I still think it is overpriced.

We visited on Sat 4th Aug my husband and i and our thirteen year old girl, the cave tour was informative but difficult to hear and if at the back you could miss out. The caves were wonderful but over so quickly we felt rushed and would have liked more time to look around and take pics.Once the tour was over that was it you were not allowed back in to the caves.
There were many play areas for young children but for a teenager who thinks it's Boring! not much to do. The witches cafe was poor and our food was of low quality. The mirror maze was fun and the amusements were popular I think the unexpected highlight of the day was the theatre performance, it was cheesy fun and brilliant..really a must. It was by no means a rubbish day but needs some improvements especially in the catering dept, i would recommend taking a pack lunch.
