“Don't miss this little jewel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

For breakfast's, lunches and afternoon teas assembled from the finest locally sourced ingredients look no further. Having spent a lot of time in this area the café at Berry's is unique, offering as it does a fairly wide range of dishes to suit most tastes plus a selection of daily specials all of which are well presented and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming and provide an efficient level of service.

Berry's is adjacent to the farm shop which offers a wide range of locally produced foods which seem to be reasonably priced.

The setting is outstanding with views over Wensleydale towards Castle Bolton and beyond. From the rear of the property is a footpath to Redmire Falls which is about 1/2 mile away but well worth the stroll.

Overall Berry's seems to be a great success given it's popularity with tourists and local folk alike.

“Great food - good wheelchair access”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

Visited with my elderly mother and a friend - access with a wheelchair is great, ramp entrance, plenty of room in the café & outside eating area & good disabled toilet - maybe just a little tricky in the shop area.
The food was great (lasagne, meat platter & crab cakes) leaving only room to share a scone, jam & cream & all served with a smile.
Enjoyed a little wander round the animals & taking in the lovely surroundings. A lovely afternoon out in a beautiful area.
Tripadvisor - how about including a rating for disabled access/facilities - I'm sure lots of people would find it useful?

“Excellent food and coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

We stopped here for coffee and bacon butties on the way home from the Dales - the coffee is excellent and the bacon butty sublime. It's made from local, free bacon and served with local relish and salad. Enjoyed every mouthful. We shopped in the deli twice whilst we were there. The ice cream is local and excellent. There isn't a huge choice of meat but it's all local and really tasty. The local chorizo was fab. They also sell local bread which was lovely. Bought some locally made jams and chutneys which didn't last the week we were there. Will go back on next visit.
