Description: The Granary Tearoom The Old Granary is full of charm and character with its original oak beams and small latted windows and is a delightful place to meet up with friends and enjoy traditional farmhouse fayre. It is extremely comfortable and warm (a bitterly cold day in December at the time of writing!). All the hot water and heating in the Farmshop & Tearoom is supplied from a very efficient woodchip burner which is Mark's pride and joy!!We serve freshly brewed Yorkshire Tea and Coopers Coffee together with home baked scones, cakes and pastries, farmhouse breakfasts, cooked lunches and afternoon teas with "Specials" on the menu every day. All meals are cooked fresh to order and the ingredients may be purchased in the Farmshop! On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday lunch of Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding and booking is advisable. The Farmshop & Tearoom is licensed and we offer an excellent selection of wines and beers etc. For customers unable to negotiate the stairsthere are two tables in the Farmshop with waitress service.Meals can be taken at the picnic tables in the covered foldyard next to the Childrens' Play Area and during the summer months we have tables and chairs outside in the sunshine!Farm Shop Customers can enjoy a "Unique Farm Shopping Experience" in lovely surroundings and purchase fresh farm produce "a complete meal" and enjoy tea and coffee and farmhouse baking in our traditional Granary Tearoom. We provide ample freeparking, toilets and disabled access.Pride of place in the Farmshop is our fresh meat counter with our own resident Butcher who can offer you advice about particular cuts of meat and cooking instructions! The counter is full of our home grown beef together with lamb, pork, local free range poultry, game, sausages, burgers, "Jenny's Wellies", Mark's Tractor Wheels, Chicken parcels, Yorkshire bacon, gammon and so much more!!Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily and to compliment the fresh, seasonal produce we have freezers full of a great selection of loose fruit and vegetables which are all prepared ready to go straight into the oven. We also sell "Cooks" Frozen Ready Meals which are very popular with our customers. They are excellent quality and very good value. We have two Cooks's Freezers full of savoury meals in both one and twoportions and also puddings, roulades and cheesecakes for special occasions. A fifth freezer is bursting with our own homemade fruit and savory pies, gravies, baking and Brymor Ice Cream made with milk from their herd of Jersey cows at Jervaulx, Masham. Our Deli Counter offers a wide selection of Yorkshire cheeses including Yorkshire Blue, Jervaulx Blue, Cotherstone, Smoked Applewood, numerous varieties from Wensleydale Creameries, Mature Cheddar from Botton Village to name but a few! We had rented a converted barn nearby and wanted to fetch something for tea. Whilst there we had a drink in the tearooms and a piece of their coffee cake. It was absolutely gorgeous. All the staff were friendly, in the tearoom and the shop. Everywhere was spotless. We will definitely be back.

Called in unplanned for Sunday lunch as Helmsley was too busy to stop. We weren't disappointed at our choice. I had roast beef which was really tender. Yorkshire pud, and roasties were excellent. The carrots were superb, the cabbage and other potatoes OK, but not quite as good. My partner had quiche with a very generous salad. Too full after for dessert.

Overall very good and would certainly return. The converted barn is a very good for the restaurant, however the open stairs had us on edge when a toddler kept going to the top of them before his parents could get to him - maybe some kind of gate would be a good idea?

latest visit of many was last Sunday for lunch, this is our favourite place for miles around for many reasons. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and the service is excellent. Food is out of this world, good portions of meat etc for Sunday lunch - I had pork which came with crackling and also you get Yorkshire Puds no matter what lunch you have, in some places you go to you have to ask and feel guilty if you want a Yorkshire with anything other than Roast Beef. The cakes/desserts are all home made and is always difficult to decide which to have, and also whether you have room after the main course. Everything is locally sourced which we also prefer. We used to come here once we'd visited Helmsley for the morning but now we make a trip just to come to Beadlam Grange. Well worth it.

visited for Sunday lunch and very impressed with both quality and quantity of the roast beef dinner.
Good size slices of beef ,roast potatoes , Yorkshire pudding, potatoes done in butter plus a large helping of carrots and cabbage .
unable to sample the delicious looking sweets due to size of first course.
