We visited with our children, but only had time to look around the aviary's and watch the bird display, it was a little dear for my liking but was very enjoyable, and the Bird display was fabulous, our kids couldn't stop talking about it all the way home.

We spent most of the day here and, like other reviewers, would heartily recommend the bird of prey centre. The presenters were full of passion for their work and this seem to infect the attentive audience. Duncombe Park itself provided the opportunity for strolls in the woods and a rest on the grass but, because there was no access to the house, we felt more like remote spectators during that part of the visit.

We visited Duncombe park on our way back from Thirsk,
Really glad we did,the new birds of prey centre is excellent , the staff are very knowledgeable , and did an excellent job of flying the birds.
Would be nice to go back later to see how it has developed.
The cafe is well worth a visit ! Nice lemon drizzle cake !!

We visited the newly opened Bird of prey centre at Duncombe park and were really impressed by the lay out of the whole place What really stood out were the staff who flew the birds of prey ,they were so knowledgable about the birds and were easy to hear when speaking over the tannoy system when flying the birds The birds are flown at different times throughout the day,and when not watching them been flown you can wander round the huge cages where there is a vast array of birds of prey. There is a pleasant tearoom and courtyard to sit out in and also a shop selling gifts.
We would definitely recommend a visit .

otherwise the whole thing would have been a bit of a bore, we expected more for the £7 nterance fee ! and we travelled to it, because we had been to a steam rally last year and that was great !
