Its taken me an age to write this, but i felt i must add a review about our latest visit in April. It was my third stay at the Feversham, so hopes and expectation were high.

We parked in the underground carpark and were checked in quickly and were delighted to have been upgraded. Our room was one of the deluxe suites and the the level of decor and facilities were gorgeous. If funds were available on rebooking, we would try to book one of this room type, again.

The evening 'Tasting Menu' was delicious and the service attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately i took ill during the meal and had to return to the room for some time. I did return to the meal but it was apparent that it was no use and my husband and i left the table and went to the room. After 20 mins or so there was a knock at the door and 2 staff were there with the remaining coures we hadn't eaten plus our wine. They set them up the room on the ottoman, in front of the logburner . In was such excellent service and was touching,as i was feeling a bit sorry for myself.

In the morning we had a delicious breakfast. My husband had their full yorkshire bellybuster and i had the eggs benedict, both of which were fresh, local and delicious as well as several (one glass just isn't enough) of there homemade smoothies. Before heading to the spa for an afternoon of indulgent pampering.

Checkout was efficient and quick .

I must, once again, pass on my gratitude to the staff for their care and attention and we would be returning for our anniversary next week if i wasnt going into to the hopsital for an operation this week. I'm sure however, that my husband and myself(sans gallblader) will be visiting as soon as i'm well again, for a little yorkshire medicine.

We returned to the Feversham Arms for our 7th visit as we regard it as our favourite hotel where we can escape the troubles of everyday life, and totally relax. We have seen it grow into the fine hotel it is today and little added extras such as the car valet service were a pleasant surprise. The staff are as attentive as ever and equally as pleasant and helpful and the room in which we stayed was comfortable and roomy. We will certainly be back. Soon I hope!

The Feversham Arms lives up to the billing in every way. The whole combination makes for a supremely relaxing stay. The food is excellent and the service unobtrusive but attentive, a fine line to judge but one the staff pull off with ease. The spa was excellent and a massage is a great way to relax. The food was superb especially the taster menu, great for a leisurely dinner with well chosen wines.

Not the cheapest place to go but in this case you really do get what you pay for without question.

Everything was wonderful apart from the waistcoats of the boys, did look a little untidy, that's me being 'picky' sorry.
Food really impressive and beautifully cooked, your chefs passed with flying colours and the breakfast chef passed the 'scrambled egg test' one of my benchmarks.

Don't believe the hype. My partner booked for 2 nights for my birthday. Rooms nice enough but the food was dreadful. We sent the food back on the first evening and didn't eat there on night 2. Breakfast quality also very poor and customer service shabby.

We 'Mini Break' regulary and have stayed in many hotels. The feversham was a hotel I had wanted to stay in for some time especially after viewing the amazing online video and reading reviews. The Feversham projects the allure of a relaxing tranquil getaway. In actual fact the hotel is set in the outskirsts of a Village on a main road which is noisy! The building is really quite ugly. Upon arrival a lovely young man took our bags into the hotel and was very courteuos to us, he took us to reception to 'Tracey' (Not the manager - there are two Traceys's) who was rude to him and made a complete show of herself - this did not get us off to a good start. We were told our room was not yet ready whiich was fine so we went into the bar for a drink - the bar snacks menu was very restrictive and the chicken, brie and bacon sandwich we ordered was equivalant to bad pub fayre. Nobody actually came to tell us our room was ready until I went to reception to ask to be taken to our room (By which point the lovely Tracey had gone home). We decided to go to the Spa and go for a swim at 5pm - we were told that they were getting ready to close and we couldnt go into the hot tub. Dinner was just 'ok' if you like very nice food then you will be disappointed here - it is by no means awful but simply 'ok' much of the food was smoothered in sauces so you couldn't actually taste the meal itself. Dessert tasted like they were mass produced bought in frozen products. The cheese board however was impressive. Most of the staff are very nice however a few do have ideas above their stature and try to dictate what you should be eating or drinking and how you should be eating or drinking it. We were awake most of the night as our room was facing the front of the bulding and was very noisy as it was right on the road.
Breakfast was very nice indeed and was tranquil and satisfying.
We then went to use the Spa at around 11am - the cover was over the pool so we assumed it was not open. After a couple of hours people started to ask when it would open, the staff said they would take the cover off when we wanted to go in - Why not just open it so people can go in when they want? The Spa has a small Sauna, Steam room and foot baths. The Steam room smells of mildew. It is simply NOT worth the money at all. Two ladies were there on a spa day and stated they were really dispointed - we agreed!!! The Jacuzzi (The one in the video with the women sipping champagne by candlelight) was simply disgusting! It was smelly, Dirty, and Tiny we dared not get in to it.
I left the Feversham very very dispointed and for the first time of being away was very glad we had only booked one nigh and we were on ourway home. this place is simply not worth the prices they are charging. They even tried to overcharge us on check out!
Try the Devonshire Arms if your after really nice food, wine, lovely rooms, great staff, and a nice Spa - the prices are not ridiculous and its a lovely place set in amazing grounds. If your after a Spa break - believe it or not Center Parcs Sherwood has the best Spa i've been to with over 12 different experience rooms.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! There are much much nicer hotels out there.
