We returned at the weekend having spent 2 niights for my wifes birthday. the whole experience , from booking , checking in , restaurant and spa was superb. We found all the staff extremely helpul and friendly. we had room 34 , overlooking the pool.

We ate in the hotel both nights , enjoying the taster menu on the first night , and selecting on the second. Neither a disappointment.

Small issues:
Like a previous reviewer , disappointed the hot tub was out of order and the pool cover left at the side of the steps. Also , the table on our balcony was in need of a coat of stain, a small issue but out of keeping with the overall quality.

Like i said, small issues and would not deter me from recomending or returning ourselves.

Took advantage of the May upgrade offer and booked the poolside suite (No 23) for my wife’s Birthday. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly wishing my wife a happy birthday on our arrival. We were a little early so the staff took our bags and said they would put in our room when it was ready. We both went to the Spa where I had booked my wife a surprise massage. When we eventually got to our room we found our bags there plus a birthday card which was a nice touch. We had a couple of minor issues in the suite but overall we were pleased with the Hotel. The staff were excellent and the food was fantastic. We had the taster menu and full Yorkshire breakfast. The Spa facilities are impressive. I was however a little let down by the outside pool area which in my opinion needed some remedial attention. I am aware the pool requires a cover by law but the one at the hotel had seen better days. When it is removed it should be stored away out view of guests and not a trip hazard. The outdoor hot tub was not working, we were told it had only just happened and an engineer had been contacted (this appears contrary to other reviews).

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in.
Beautiful rooms, I had room 28 which had its own separate lounge and the most comfortable bed ever.
Very tastefully decorated with a view over the pool and hot tub.
Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Bathroom had separate shower room and a fabulous bath with lovely range of toiletries, not the cheap, tiny bottle you normally get in hotels
My only complaint was that I was there on business so didn't get to use the place as much as I would like.
I would definitely return.

Room Tip: Room 28 a suite with a separate lounge, great bathroom, a view over the pool and Bang and Olefsen t...

Just had 2 nights with a hen party of 10. Having paid for a suite for myself and chief bridesmaid I felt they tried it on with a cheap room and view of the car park. To be fair we were upgraded after complaint. Friday afternoon we head down to the hot tub only to find it was out of order. The heated pool was dirty, cold and in need of repair. On requesting a small cocktail the waiter told us he would come and take our order. Waiter didn't materialise. Kitchen was closed on Friday evening due to a problem with the fan. Fortunate for the Feversham Arms that the Black Swan serves excellent food next door. I have come home with the feeling that some of the staff treated us as second class citizens as other customers were clearly given a better service. Not all staff mind, most were fantastic especially Holly, Rosie and the 2 ladies on reception. I would suggest if you are staying in the area head to the Star Inn at Harome. My 2 stays there have been different class.

Room Tip: Request a pool view.

We stayed for 1 night at the Feversham Arms last Wednesday (8th May) as a belated Birthday Treat – and what a Treat it was! The Reception process was smooth, thanks to Ian and the gentleman on Reception that afternoon. It was wonderful to enjoy the luxury of our suite (Junior Suite Halcyon No 10) then sit by the pool in the late afternoon sun. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, but still professional (especially Ian, Hollie & Greg). The Taster Menu in the restaurant was delicious (especially the Asparagus Espume!) in fact I can’t remember a meal where we have had so much pleasure and conversation about the depths of flavours of the food we were eating – it was a delightful experience!! Our bed was SOOO big and comfortable it was an effort to get out of it next morning – which brings me onto the only things we didn’t enjoy 1) the breakfast, after last night’s wonderful culinary experience, the (cooked) breakfast, especially the sausage, was a BIG disappointment 2) on checking out, the bill produced seem to bear no resemblance to reality – until we discovered that VAT had been added on (after we had signed for them!) to all our restaurant & bar expenditures, which was not mentioned until we queried the bill upon settlement on our departure. Not a problem, once we knew, but it would have been so much easier, and more customer-friendly, if this had been explained, which it wasn’t! However, to end on a good note – overall the stay was excellent and we would definitely go back, and we have to mention that Ian, the doorman was a wonderful gent and was the star of the show, so helpful, courteous and friendly.

My husband stayed here about 4 years ago and was very impressed. He always said he would take me here and finally got round to it! We had a light, well equipped bedroom on the first floor overlooking the pool area, which has a very elegant and inviting looking terrace to sit out on if it were warm enough. Check in at reception was friendly and welcoming. Dinner was superb - gorgeous scallops with cauliflower, sorrel and black pudding; beautifully cooked halibut with morels,, asparagus and squid ink sauce. Didn't have pudding but enjoyed coffee and yummy petite fours back in the comfortable bar. Hope to come back again!
