“An enjoyable stay in a friendly and tranquil environment”
Reviewed July 5, 2010

Upon our arrival at Threeways, we soon realised what a little gem we had found for our visit to this lovely area. It is located in a small, rural village offering peace and tranquillity, quiet lanes, and enjoyable local walks with stunning views over the countryside.
Our hostess, Lizzie, was very welcoming and made us feel quite at home. As we were new to this part of the country, we were offered many helpful suggestions for local attractions and things to do in the area which contributed to making this a fulfilling and very relaxing holiday.
The very comfortable accommodation is separate from the main house, set in the spacious grounds, so we were able to come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone. It was lovely to be able to open the French Windows on a sunny evening and enjoy the beautifully maintained garden and the company of the two dogs, Pickle and Batty (we really had to resist kidnapping them!).
The full English breakfast was a lovely start to the day but, as we were staying for a week, we were very grateful for the additional facility of our own kitchen so that we could prepare evening meals should we not wish to go out.
Thank you for a lovely stay, and we hope to see you again soon.

This is a charming B&B, in a quiet English village in delightful Northamptonshire. The rooms are in a building separate from the main house, The owner is wonderfully relaxed, and yet attentive at the same time. We were left to our private rooms when we wanted to be left alone, but she was brimming with enthusiasm and ideas about local sights, walks and attractions when we wanted to be helped. We would recommend the Macintosh house in Northampton as a site to visit. The owner recommended it, and we were not disappointed.

This B&B is a charming, beautiful place, with personal service and all at a price lower than the nearest Travelodge. We would wholeheartedly recommend Threeways. We hope the owner has a very successful business for years to come.

Very pleased with Threeways, we were overseas visitors and very easy drive from Birmingham Airport. Very sumptuous english breakfasts, Lizzie very welcoming and full of local knowledge, very good car parking right outside the rooms. It was everything we thought small town England accommodation would be and lived up to every expectation, a fantastic place. Love the dogs as well

A business friend suggested I stay at Threeways and I am very glad he did. It was very easy to book and Mrs Barwood was welcoming, helpful and friendly when I checked in. My room was very clean and comfortably furnished - good bed. Nice ensuite bathroom. Excellent fast WiFi broadband and Freeview TV. There's a good friendly pub in the village for a drink, but I also eat in the pub in Newnam at Mrs Barwood's suggestion and it was very good. Everdon is real close to Daventry and the local motorways - the M1 and the M40 are both easy access from there. The English breakfasts were great and were served with a big smile! I thought it was all very good value for money.

My wife and I booked into Threeways House because we thought it looked great on their website - we were not disappointed! We were attending a family wedding and taking a short break and we had a great time. Lizzie, our hostess, and her family were genuinely welcoming, kind and couldn't have been more helpful. The guest rooms are in a separate building to their home and they are well equipped, comfortable, quiet and beautifully clean. Breakfast is in the new Dining Room across the terrace, in the main house, and huge French windows let you enjoy looking at Lizzie's wonderful and well kept garden while you eat. The food was first rate as well. Everdon is a perfect English village and the surrounding countryside is really pretty and unspoilt. I would highly recommend a stay at Threeways House whether for business or pleasure.

A friendly greeting, by the proprietor
Plenty of food for breakfast, traditional English fayre or cereals etc.
Ample parking on the site and immediately adjacent to it.
The accommodation block seems to be relatively new and has about 4 rooms, the gardens and surroundings appeared well maintained.
The room was tidy, but unfortunately not very well cleaned, a lot of dusty ledges and fittings were apparent, the meagre single tablet of soap was a might stingy; not the kinds of things one would expect to encounter nowadays,

We recently spent two nights at Threeways House, a lovely bed and breakfast in the village of Everdon, Northamtonshire, England. The town of Northampton is about 25 minutes away and about 15 minutes from Daventry. Our accomodation was in a converted stable located next to the main house and featured a nicely sized and comfortably furnished room. Lizzie, the hostess, was accomodating in every way. One of our main reasons for being in the area was to visit villages that relatives had lived in prior to immigrating. We had rented a car but were concerned that we had many villages to visist and a short amount of time on unfamiliar roads. After expressing my concern to Lizzie, I asked if she knew of anyone that we could hire as a guide. She thought for a few moments and then suggested her Godson who was home prior to leaving for university. He was a wonderful young man who navigated us through back roads and allowed us to accomplish in one day what would have taken us multiple days.

Everdon is a beautiful village set in the rolling hills of Northamptonshire. There is a delightful pub about two miles away.

Lizzie cooked our breakfasts and served them in her dining room. The food was tasty and a good way to start the day.

The website features a picture of the family dog, Pebbles. To our great delight,, Pebbles was in the drive as we approached the house and immediately greeted us. She was a very friendly dog who gave the feeling of our being welcomed "home."
