Description: Situated on Cheshunt’s busy high street, De Ja Vu brings the best of exotic Indian cuisine to the depths of Hertfordshire. The bright, modern interior is accented in shades of blue and features arty prints on the walls and funky electric blue lights that look great after dark. The flawless service and laid-back vibe have made it a firm favourite with the locals, who flock here for midweek meals, weekend blow-outs and early evening dinners when the set menu offers excellent value for money. The a la carte menu features sizzling tandoori dishes; classic curries; and Chef’s Specials including South Indian garlic chicken with fiery green chillies and De Ja Vu’s signature Gosht Tawali – marinated lamb cooked with peppers and fenugreek.

went in for a takeway and when İ got home couldnt believe it. 3 tiny bites of chicken in a pot of sauce and the other dish was a soggy garlic dish.
the restaurant is just being expanded but on this experience would give it a wide berth

I cannot fault the place. We've tried others in the area but none quite hit the mark like Deja does. The food is just superb, the quality of the meat is good and lots of it. The Manager, Abdul, is extremely accommodating, friendly and not afraid to get involved. He waits on tables, clears plates, takes orders, does anything and everything which is nice to see as some places the Manager will just stand and watch the staff rush around. The restaurant is spotless and well decorated to a high standard, the waiting staff are polite and very efficient. The music is great! Really makes it feel like you are out for a meal somewhere special and not just shovelling curry down in a local Cheshunt curry house! The place is consistently packed out which shows you how good it is.

Deja have some great deals on all the time, you cannot fault the price and quality and I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal or takeaway in 6 years. Don't bother going to any other Indian if you are in the Cheshunt area, this place is fantastic.

We have been to de ja vu on about 10 occasions travelling from Potters Bar especially. We have tried numerous local Indian Restaurants but always return here. I can highly recommend it. The price is reasonable, food very nice and staff attentive. The south Indian garlic chicken is their signature dish which is a lovely balanced dish. They accept taste cards or have a special banquet nights which makes it excellent value for money.
