The Stars have recently put on a "light-bite and drink" deal at lunchtime so we went to try it - smashing!
Great quality and good value - just right for a light lunch.
Have got to say that everytime we have been we have loved it - good food and very friendly and helpful staff.

We ate here on the recommendation of a friend, and were not disappointed. Lovely food, and reasonably priced too. Nice to see lots of local ingredients used. Small but perfectly formed vegetarian selection - the risotto was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. All round a good place to eat in/near Durham & we will definitely be back.

We popped in here on a walk into Durham City. Good service, good food at a reasonable price. You get the feeling your in the countryside when you walk into this quaint little pub restaurant. Home cooked food with a good atmosphere. Hot beef sandwich is recommended.

This is the second time I've eaten here (with friends, not by choice) & both times the food/dining has been marred by the same problem - the owner - who was 'overseeing' both guests & staff, ensuring that we didn't break her rules. We were a big group so there were several trivial/petty issues which I won't bore anyone with, but all were handled so badly that I hope I don't have to eat there again & would recommend that others don't either.
