“Old fashioned and dated.”
Review of Grand Pier

Grand Pier
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Having lived in Teignmouth for many many years the pier has not grown with the times, it needs to be either completely traditional with old penny slot machines and staff dressed in costume for a place that is over a hundred years old. How about tea dances and ballroom dancing or even rock and roll now the London Hotel is no more ? Or new modern machines and a good cafe and more family friendly atmosphere. A shame really as the owner is very good to the local disabled schools in the area. Perhaps us locals ought to support it more as part of Teignmouth heritage before it is too late and we are left with a monstrosity like some other seaside towns.

if you have an hour or two spare, teignmouth pier is good fun, I used to take my children and they loved it when they were little. lots of copper needed, great family laughs .

A great pier to visit lot's for everyone to do and fantastic view when you walk out to the end !! This a very old pier which has been in the same family for many year's,has plenty of ride's for little children, ride's for older kid's and a simulator for adult's maybe.Plenty of slot machine's Ice cream stall, may look a bit dated as other's have remarked but it wouldn't be the same if it was all up market and modern !!!!!

i live in teignmouth and this place spoils the beautiful views across to lymm regis and to shaldon's ness. if you swim below it take care as the pier can drag you towards it...if you like amusement arcades then it is ok.
