“Good food,slow drinks service”

In my opinion, as above, smallish seating made not too close together. Good atmosphere, feel you can't overstay your welcome as people are always coming in,it seems a favourite.

“French cooking and cakes par excellance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Was in Teignmouth on a bitter Good Friday afternoon and was looking for somewhere to get out of the Spring weather. Found 26, the menu looked OK and most importantly it looked warm! The soup and croque monsieur were excellent, the soup with more cream than a Devon tea. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and very good food. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere a mark (or two) up from the usual seaside eatery.

“Great cafe but a little too crampt!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Have visited this cafe a few times and each time the staff have been friendly and the service has been prompt.
The French menu is varied and there is something for everyone.
However, this cafe does get a bit crampt so be careful!
Otherwise, very nice!

“Wonderful seaside stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

We have been here on several occasions including my mother's birthday and a lunch with my mother-in-law (who was fascinated by a ladies in purple lunch club having great fun on another table). For my Mum's birthday they happily accepted a smuggled sparkler candle to put on her cake and brought out on my signal. For persons of a smaller appetite they wioll box or bag up leftovers for you to finish later which both my parents appreciated.

Denise provides a lovely place to enjoy a high tea, lunch or brunch. We love the pots of tea and the egg-timer for you to steep your tea to your own personal taste (you then can lift out the tea leaves in the removable core).

We have yet to try the evening specials but plan to do so in the near furture

“First class coffee bar and cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Always friendly, always good quality and an exceptionally relaxed atmosphere. A place to get off the busy street to chill out with a newspaper, a coffee and a cake or a light lunch. The walls are decorated with artwork by the owner and other local artists. Free WiFi.
