“First class coffee bar and cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Always friendly, always good quality and an exceptionally relaxed atmosphere. A place to get off the busy street to chill out with a newspaper, a coffee and a cake or a light lunch. The walls are decorated with artwork by the owner and other local artists. Free WiFi.

“Very nice lunch and delicious patisserie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

Called in for lunch en route to the Cary Arms in Babbacombe for a 50th birthday treat and wanted to see what Denise Tarriela, one of Peter de Savary's top chefs, had created for herself. At midday on a wet Thursday in January, we found a warm welcome from happy and knowledgeable staff. We chose their Winter vegetable soup made with cream and wine which came with delicious bread and butter. Very rich and satisfying. Unable to leave without trying the peanut butter and white chocolate cheesecake, I think we managed about half a slice between us and took the rest away with us along with a piece of salted caramel for later...
Would certainly return when next in the area, hopefully for a full meal.

“Tasty lunch.”

Enjoyed lunch here. We had Butternut risotto with rocket which was fabulous and potted pork with breads and pickles. All beautifully done.

“Lunch date”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

Food was very nice we had the shared fish & seafood basket, two between four of us.
Service good, decor needs a bit "warming up". Started to fill up at about 1 pm.
