Been local in Teignmouth for some ten years and have frequented at all the local resturants in the mouth and surrounding areas.

To be fair we are the type of consumers that once we are hooked we return time and time again but if a bad experience we give the restuarant another go and if not happy will look elsewhere. We have been know to travel in order to enjoy the experience and this is why we are so happy with a place so close to home.

With fresco's, we have been either on our own, with family and with friends. At times we have been very nervous as some are VERY critical/picky but after some 20 plus visits since they have opened we have NEVER had any bad experiences.

On the front of house Cherry is a deightful character and a fantastic host. Always remembering those little details and picks up from the last time you visited. If aware of a birthday, anniversary or special event...does everything she can to ensure an enjoyable evening.

As for the food.....the menu offers a full range for all with a wide range of pizza's both thin based and folded. However, I must confess that I have something for the 'specials' and in the majority of visits choose from these. On this night in particular, I chose the lobstar for a resonable £20. Having experienced this dish in the past at higher rated establisments and paying a lot more.......I would have this again and again as it's the best I have ever experienced. Marco the chef is an ineresting character and at times very funny with a dry sence of humour. At the end of the nit he always check with the customers to see how their experience was.....not enough chefs do this in in the south west.

We have always had wonderful time, enjoyed the experience and feel that it's great value for money.

I do recommend booking early as it seems to be the most popular place in the town. When we chat with other whilst eating, they are of the same opionon and say like us that they recommend Fresco's to everyone..................to date nobody has come back to us saying they haven't a great time.

We visited this restaurant on 22nd July following recomendations on this site and were not dissappointed at all. Had a coule of pints sitting outside the Ship in on the harbour wall watching the sun go down then took our table in Fresco. Staff genuinely friendly and pleased to see you. food sourced and cooked locally and it was suberb. Best carbonara I have ever had and my wife had a pizza. Very cosy atmosphere and peeking at other diners meals would encourage mer to go back and sample more of the menu. It was very busy with locals, always a good sign in a holiday place. We were lucky to get a late table but best to book early. starter, good bottle of red and 2 mains all for £41...not bad at all.

Dined here twice last week whilst on holiday in Teignmouth. Superbly run by a lady who really knows what she is doing - followed by stunning food - we chose the fish specialities of the day. BUT leave room for a sweet - to die for!!
