We've been here a couple of times and both times the experience has been excellent. The food is imaginative and delicious and rivals anything on offer in the Michelin stared honey traps of Padstow; but is much better value. Having now eaten in nearly all Cornish restaurants of note, this ranks amongst the best and is one of the few that I will return to time and again.

Been three times before. Always spot on. You worry that things will change when you return the next season..... but no.....this is still a classy restaurant which offers subtle well presented food with a good relaxed atmosphere. A diverse and sensibly priced wine list is always a pleasant surprise. Please don't change anything.

We enjoyed another family outing at Kota recently, it is always our favourite Cornish restaurant as we always get great food, service and wine. Laura and Jane were looking after us and everything was super from the amuse bouche (liver parfait), home made breads, wine selection and excellent menu with enough choice for our group of four to need plenty of time to negotiate who was going to have what. I had the scallops followed by turbot with shellfish veloute and then the obligatory chocolate fondant and managed to snaffle a taste of everyone elses food (the pork dish was amazing). I cant recommend Kota highly enough and can't wait to go back.

The food was truly excellent. The ingredients were first class, the combinations of flavours sublime, the service charming and knowledgable. The decor might have lead you the believe that this was an average eatery but fear not, the quality of the dishes was far in excess of so many more pretentious restaurants where the food seems to come second to flash decor and staff with a rather too high opinion of themselves. Very good value too. Love it.

We had a wonderful evening at Kota. The food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. This really was one of the best meals I have eaten and my partner said the same.

All our food was incredible but the highlights for us were the cured salmon starter, which was a beautiful dish, and the Hake main course. The fish was cooked perfectly and the presentation was so colourful and vibrant.

The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and knowledgable. we were recommended a fantastic bottle of wine and were made to feel very welcome and looked after throughout the night.

This is an incredibly special restaurant, we can not recommend it enough!
