Description: Great little seafood restaurant in Porthleven. We went because Trip Advisor review of nearby Kota restaurant said Blue Haze was better. Now find can't give it a review as Blue Haze not listed with you! Please consider adding it. Thanks.

“Thoroughly enjoyable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

We've eaten here 3 or 4 times over the past few years, and I had to write to say how good our last visit was last week. We took advantage of the early diner offer and were treated to three courses, plus nibbles and a sorbet between the starter and mains, all for £17.50. The quality was excellent, and the whole experience was topped off by friendly and attentive service. The chef even came to say goodbye and to thank us for our custom as we left! Overall, a very pleasant evening. Well done Blue Haze!

“Fantastic Food, Warm, cosy and perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Don't be put off by this bungalow type building on the end of the quiet side of Porthleven Harbour, it is the best restaurant around, better than Stein's and other so called fish restaurants. My partner and I visited on a cold Sunday night, however when we walked in, the decor was light and airy, warm and cosy.

The menu was varied with mainly fish dishes but also Steak and Venison. We ate the monkfish starter which on the menu sounds fairly straight forward but when it arrived at the table the side salad was the best I'd seen and the presentation was outstanding. Likewise with the main courses which were also fantastic.

If you are in the area, you have to visit this little gem. The added touches such as palate cleansing sorbets in between courses just add that special touch. The prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent with friendly staff

A great place

“Lovely restaurant overlooking the harbour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Lovely ambiance with friendly, helpful staff. Nice little extras thrown in like little nibbles before the starter and often, a sorbet mid meal. A wide range of menus and lots of choices. Fish and seafood orientated but a great deal to offer those preferring meat and vegetarian. Curry night is superb and those preferring an alternative to curry, are catered for. Some interesting spins on desserts too. Overall, a really upmarket, not overly priced, chilled restaurant well worth visiting.

“My Favourite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

We have eaten in a number of restaurants / pubs in Porthleven and the surrounding areas and rate this as the best of them all. The food is delicious and well presented and there are extras between courses which make the experience even more pleasurable. The 3 courses for £17.50 for early birds is well worth going for and there is a nice selection of wines as well. The waiting staff are also polite and friendly. The exterior of the restaurant does not do it justice, so don't be put off by this. Can't wait to visit again.
