“The best B&B I have ever stayed in”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

From the very first contact, the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. They even came to meet me in their car as I was travelling on foot. The guest house is in a quiet residential road with distant views over the village and the sea. It was spotlessly clean and the ensuite bedroom was very comfortable with lots of space for clothes. I was made very welcome and given a key to both my room and the front door so I could come and go as I liked. There is a lounge for guests with comfortable furniture and lots of information about the area. The breakfasts were out of this world, lovely table setting and delicious, plentiful food with lots of choice. As Robert is a local fisherman there was even fresh fish on offer, as a change from usual breakfast fare - all perfectly cooked. I had a delightful stay and can recommend Rosemorran wholeheartedly. I was very sorry when the time came to leave.

People who have high standards, customer care and old fashioned common sense still exist.

Rooms are spacious, bed really comfy and the whole place was immaculate. Genuinely friendly couple who work hard to make the stay perfect. Stunning breakfast (each place set with plate of fruit, a picture to look at and delicious). Attention to detail another lovely surprise, e.g. each segment of fruit peeled, obviously, with skin to each also stripped away.

Nearby neighbours were enjoying open air dinning on their front lawn. Whilst walking past we were asked to join them for a glass of wine, and an enjoyable hour was had by all. Pure Cornish hospitality, unbeatable!

Have no qualms in staying at Rosemorran, you will be glad you did.

This b and b is amazing. The owners are lovely, the room is stunning and the breakfast was superb. Great sea views as you can see from the harbour head to the mouth. We stayed in the front room, the bed was huge and so comfortable - even for my fiances bad back. Can't wait to stay again.

We have stayed here many times, and cannot fault anything. Good size rooms, immaculate everywhere, amazing breakfasts and always a warm welcome from Penny and Robert.

We have already booked for our next visit

Room Tip: All rooms great - but either with bath or shower - so do ask if you prefer one or the other

If you are looking for a very good B&B for a reasonable price in Porthleven, this one's definitely the right place. We were walking the SWCP and didn't want to stay too far from the path, so Rosemorran was just right: only about 10 min walk from the harbour in a quiet residential area.
Penny gave us a very warm welcome, so we felt comfortable from the first minute.
Our room was bedroom no.1 on the ground floor with a view over the village and to the harbour. The room is 200 sq ft at a rough estimate with en-suite window shower room. It offered a Flat-TV and a clothes drying rack, we welcomed very much. The room was very clean an everything made a very well-kept impression, the towels were pleasantly fleecy.
The breakfast left nothing to be desired with freshly prepared fish if desired - unique during our 11 day walk.
We can only recommend Rosemorran B&B and would choose it again anytime.

This is a brilliant b and b. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a partial view of the harbour. The shower was large and efficient. Penny was charming and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional as Robert is a fisherman, and there was a choice of several different kinds of fresh fish for breakfast (I tried three the first morning). Alternatively there was the choice of Full English or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. We shall certainly go back.

We have just had a three day stay at Rosemorran, Penny and Robert are very friendly, welcoming and very helpful with information on places to visit and where to eat. Our room and ensuite bathroom were spotless, well furnished and very comfortable. Likewise the breakfast area and living room, with TV sofa etc. The house is located in a quiet area with plenty of on road parking outside and only a five minute walk to the harbour. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, cereals, toast, preserves and a choice of full english or fish of the day, caught by Robert. We cannot reccomend the fish highly enough, the choice was from Pollock, Dabs, Gunard and Plaice when we were there. The first time in a B&B when we have not chosen the full english.
