“In the quiet village of Mustafapasa, there's Gul Konaklari”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

We stayed there for 3 nights at beginning of April. We were 10 min from Urgup by car. We arrived around 8:15PM but we could get dinner. It was a fantastic dinner. All 3 days, we had great turkish cuisine served with impeccable service from the staff. Breakfast and dinner were included in the room price. We stayed in room 209 and there was no surprise as the pictures on their web site reflected what we saw. What I liked of this hotel was the quiet environment. We spent a lot of time in a room in the middle of the garden where you can relax, read, watch TV and have tea, and the room was heated by a fire in a burning wood stove. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that want to have a quiet stay but at the same time not being far to the different locations in Cappadocia.

Room Tip: look at the pictures on the web site

We stayed in Rose mansion for three days while travelling around through Cappadocia. The staff was great and enjoyed to make it comfortable for you. All your wishes were fullfilled. We can really recommend Rose Mansion and we'll come back here whenever we return to Cappadocia. Greetings to the staff from Anja en Alex Hulshoff

Despite our middle of the night arrival due to flight delays, young men were waiting to take us and our luggage to our rooms. The rooms were exactly as shown on their website....not always the case. This is a cave/stone room boutique hotel and lived up to our expectations in setting the tone at the beginning of our 16 day tour. The food was wonderful and they happily accommodated special requests. Don't miss the Gozleme at breakfast! A Cappadocian specialty testikabap that is slow cooked all day was presented with great flair and was a hit with all our group members.

Room Tip: It is on many levels with stone steps. Ask ahead.

My wife and I stayed at thıs hotel ın July 2007 ın the Princess Room .. and absolutely loved everything about the hotel !!

The hotel has been lovingly rebuilt from 2 Greek mansions so the whole place ıs more lıke a museum than a hotel. The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped .. particularly room 207 that we stayed ın. The room had a four poster bed, an antique bathroom (with chaise longue!) and a wonderful balcony.

Dinner ıs ıncluded in the price and is served either outdoors ın the rose garden, or in the beautiful dining room. Whichever way, you approach the meal through a stairway lined with candles !! Wonderfully romantic.

The meal itself was excellent - traditional Turkish fair and one of the best meals we had during our whole visit.

The staff were brilliant - very attentive and really friendly .. as was the little white kitten that plays in the rose garden.

The local town ıs an absolute gem .. very picturesque with a lovely square. I would highly recommend a visıt .. and a stay at this hotel.

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent. She had been spot on with all her other recommmendations so this one couldn't have been wrong either. However, we didn't stay at the Rose but chose another more wellknown hotel. But we did have our first meal in Cappadocia here and the experience had us waxing lyrical for days.

The hotel is just so pretty. The service so warm and attentive. The food out of this world. It was our best meal in Cappadocia. We had arrived at the hotel exhausted after a long day. We were welcomed into the glass room/lounge with a log fire going. Our drinks orders were promptly taken and it took no time for the apple tea and raki to appear.

The dinner was pre-booked and ordered by our travel agent Vasco Travel (excellent company). However, two of the group members wanted to change the menu as they didn't like the main course offered. No problems. An alternative was worked out for them very quickly with a big smile.

We just can't praise the staff enough. The whole time we just saw two of them which made it even more amazing as everything just ran like clockwork.

At the end of our evening we were given a very warm send off. Would we go back? YOU BET.

We were here at the end of March 2006 just before the tourist seasons begins in Cappadocia. So we were the only guests in this lovely complex and were served like royalty. I'll never forget coming down the candlelit stairway to the diningroom where we first experienced how delicious Turkish cuisine can be.

  • Liked — charm
  • Disliked — the step in the middle of our room needed to be marked somehow to avoid a guest tripping. I marked it with a bedspread for myself.
