“Sophisticated and authentic cave hotel”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

-Silent rooms, comfortable beds, excellent shower head and water pressure, very clean, the hotel has the best internet service among all turkish hotels we stayed! Flawless. Our cave room was very comfortable. We had a front porch with a table and chairs we can spread out. Great location in village, not touristy, but close enough to all you want see and do. Urgup 5 minute drive, Goreme 15 minute drive, Uchisar 15 minute drive.
This is a truly stellar hotel. From decor, to the breakfast, to the service, it was an all around deluxe boutique hotel experience in a cave! Both my partner and i felt we could not have found a better hotel. Argos Hotel and Museum Hotel seem to be hot shot hotels of Cappadocia , however, I'd rather just have a drink at them (or not) and stay at the Cappadocia Estates.

Room Tip: Don't be hesitant about staying in cave rooms, they have proper windows. If you are hesitant, ch...

Wow! I am so impressed. Everything about our stay here was perfect. Huge, clean, and attractive cave rooms with windows, bathrooms with heated floors and whirlpool tubs. I liked location being in a smaller village away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Cappadocia, it was a short drive to all attractions. We hope we will come back to Cappadocia and stay longer.

Room Tip: We stayed at Villa Sinasos 22. It was a huge cave room, almost like a suite. There is a king size be...

My husband and I joined a Rick Steves tour and this lovely destination was a part of the package. It was classically beautiful, extremely well serviced, a half hour drive from a once in a lifetime balloon excursion. The history of the structure and architecture were exactly what we were looking for. There was a plumbing leak which they (horrified) fixed immediately.

Room Tip: Check out cappadociaestates.com and judge for yourself.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. I was truly amazed by the accommodations. I felt like I was staying in a castle. The rooms are large, beautiful and clean; the same goes for the bathroom. The hotel staff were excellent and helpful as well.

One point of note, I visited this hotel as a solo traveler. I feel this hotel is better suited to couples and families. Additionally, if you don't have access to a car, or aren't planning to do a tour, then I would suggest staying at a hotel in Goreme. This advice is by no means a negative reflection on the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. It is truly one of the best hotels I've every stayed in.

This hotel is different as it is partly carved into the cliff face and yet it offers the modern conveniences. We stayed in the cheaper suites and other than dull lighting for reading there were no issues and the cloths washing was fast and relatively cheap. Like many Turkish hotels the shower in the bath is not that safe to get in and out of but just need to plan around that. The staff are fabulous and with only 15 rooms everyone gets attention. The restaurant down the road (the Greek house) is fantastic.

We spent three nights at Cappadocia Estates as part of a Rick Steves tour. It was unquestionably the best lodging on the entire trip and well beyond our expectations. Every room is unique but all are large and very well appointed. We especially enjoyed having heated floors in the bathroom! The buildings are made of local tufa and some are carved into the side of the hills. The breakfasts were very good and generous.

Room Tip: Most rooms are up one or two flights of stairs and some have multiple levels within the room, but th...
