Ranked #5 of 10 Mustafapasa B&B and Inns

This hotel had great food and the staff was very helpful. It is like a B & B but they take you to the old Greek House where you dine like a king and queen. The food is amazing. The owner gives personal attention to your every need. The rooms are to die for and the view is great.

We spent 5 days at this small family boutik hotel, and had several meals at this , from breakfast , lunch, dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, better than anything we tasted in Cappadoccia. Each meal was a surprise, and the subtlety of the flavours was unique. My daughter and myself felt like taking the Mom (who cooks) home! Okan, her son does the serving, explains the food, cares for every detail, Extremelly hospitable and nice people. We want to go back one day...

We are veteran travelers to Turkey with visits encompassing beach to mountains. This year we chose to explore Cappadocia and chose Mustafapasa to distance ourselves from the tour bus crowds.
Afer careful consideration, we chose the Upper Greek House for accommodations and meals at the Old Greek House, both owned by Suleyman.
The meals at Old Greek House are something akin to the Slow Food Movement with NO prepackaged or processed foostuffs used. I KNOW this because I took a cooking class in Emine's kitchen which is so superb that Martha Stewart took lesson there also. it is a true mutfagi!
Once we met Suleyman, we were hooked! We drove up the hill and entered a flower pot filled piece of tranquility called Upper Greek House. After spending 5 glorious nights in the Majestic Suite and lying in bed gazing at the restoration of the HIGH domed ceiling and chandelier above our bed, I came to realize what a labor of love and MONEY it takes to restore these old Greek houses. The "before and after" pictures of the renovation teach the lesson clearly!
I want to make special mention of young Mehmet who attends to the guests at Upper Greek House with such meticulous detail that he EVEN anticipates a need before the guest has time to imagine it! Now that the season is in full swing, those wide open terraces (several of them), at Upper Greek House beckon for afternoon tea time or a glass of Velvet wine, or simply to check your emails on WiFi.
This house is one of the truest examples of a meticulous restoration!
Indulge in a ride through Love Valley on horseback-------
Take a cooking class----
Most importantly, just take the time to meet and visit with the wonderful townfolk of Mustafapasa!
THIS is authentic Turkey!

The only reason that this little place does not receive an "excellent" score from me is because the bed was really not very comfortable. Other than that, it has all the charm of the area in which it sits. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the food that they serve here is excellent. I would definitely stay here again but hope that they get a 21st century mattress before then.

We just spent 3 nights at this lovely inn. We were able to have a look at all of the guest rooms and every one was a gem. The staff was unfailingly kind and considerate. Breakfast on the balcony was a real treat. Wonderful place for a honeymoon.

We can't say enough good things about this place. The rooms are beautifully restored, very spacious, elegantly decorated, and they look brand new! Beds are very comfortable, and the duvets are wonderful. The place is spotless, and well maintained. There's a lovely little garden and a number of terraces throughout the place to find a quite spot - and we enjoyed picking grapes off the overhanging vine for snacks! Staff is amazingly attentive and very friendly and kind. Suleyman, the owner, is so generous, and he treats you like you are a special guest to his house. He had some free time one day we were there, so he offered to drop us off at the start of a beautiful hike (Gomeda valley), and waited for us at the other end (for over an hour!) to pick us up! Thank you Suleyman and all your wonderful staff at both Upper Greek House and Old Greek House for a very memorable stay.

Mustafapasa is a lovely little town with lots to explore, and away from the crowds of Goreme and Urgurp. It's only few minutes drive from Urgurp. Gomeda valley hike is gorgeous, and we were fortunate to get a private tour of cave churches under restoration by the town's Mayor!!! Old Greek House, also owned by Suleyman, serves delicious food, all made by his wife and his staff - fresh, local - and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Best baklava and dolmades we had anywhere!

Room Tip: There are couple of cave rooms that are entirely below ground, and many other rooms that are partial...

This pleasant and beautifully done hotel was the perfect base to explore cappadocia. The staff is friendly and professional and manager Deniz gave helpful advice on where to go. Mustafapasa is a small town and Upper Greek House sits at the top. The terraces provide a great place for an end of day drink. And you get an excellent breakfast. This was one of the nicest places in our two-week trip...
