stayed here 1st 2 weeks of june and even though i had my wallet stolen by 2 pickpockets(just be careful at all times) i did not let this spoil my holiday. after getting over this initial mishap enjoyed everything about this hotel. yes a bit dated and cramped in rooms, you get beds for 4 even if only 2 in room, but ample space to sleep and relax. all staff were great, cleaners, bar staff, entertainment and reception.bit of a shambles in morning trying to get sunbed. there are plenty but all locked until 8.30 so always a queue. never had to do this before but if you cant beat them you have to join them, quite funny really. food was good. a bit repetitive but never went hungry. food at pool bar good, so basically you can eat from 7.45 am to 9 pm and drink from 10 am to midnight. who could complain?lots of hen dos and large parties so never quiet but all over by 12 had room 211 overlooking pool, very quiet. would def. recommend this hotel, good value for money and will be back. temperature was low 20sand we didnt need a/c as our room was always cool so dont know what it would be like if any warmer

Room Tip: any pool view room away from reception area is good.

Very clean
In need of air con & face lift in the rooms
Some staff appear rude but I think it's just their way
Main bar staff very funny & happy
Blue Lagoon (Blue Racoon) cocktails were great
The French bikers we met were lovely
Great mix of party goers
Watch out for the jacuzzi .. Smells a bit funny
Food was plentiful and fresh
No breakfast on departure day, not even a brew but vending machine outside 4 water
room tax per person per night .50 which we were unaware of
You have to pay for iron/deposit box/fan etc
All in all cheap & cheerful & the girls I went with made it

We have just returned from an all inclusive week at the Santa Susanna Resort hotel. I too, like many other "trippers" had misgivings about going to the hotel. These were totally unfounded. On arrival the reception staff were brilliant, we travelled with my partners brother and wife, had booked our holidays separately but the staff put us in rooms next door to each other which was what we had hoped for.
In answer to some of the remarks - "Rude Staff" - totally not rude, they were really nice, friendly and had a laugh with the guests, Simon in the restaurant was a lovely young man, he cleared the tables continually and had time to talk to us and other guests.
The food was typical 3 star Spanish "fayre" but there was something suitable for everyone at every meal - no complaints from all 4 of us all week, for the price paid it was an absolute bargain.
The rooms are cleaned daily with new towels and beds made, my only "gripe" would be the lack of Air Con but we took a small fan so overcame that issue. The hotel is continually being cleaned and was absolutely spotless.
There is a free "happy train" into town and that was a great way to travel.
Overall we had no complaints at all and can only say good things from our experience - well recommended.

Room Tip: We had rooms on hte 4th floor at teh back of the hotel - no noise as such and an ok view.

Reading other peoples reviews on here I thought I'd been reading about a different Hotel than the one we stayed in.

We arrived on the 1st June 2013 with 11 of us and 2 children. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very kind and always had a smile on there faces. Food was better than expected, each day the buffet had the same items but prepared in a different way. Pickled Carrot was lovely and refreshing.

Rooms were fantastic, we stayed in rooms 007,008,009 and 126 - Rooms were cleaned each and everyday and if asked the cleaners would change any bedding and supply extra towels and toilet roll.

The Santa Susanna Resort Hotel is perfectly situated to hop on a train and be in Barcelona or Girona, both are brilliant Cities in there own right. The Cathedral in Girona is well worth a visit and only 7euro entry.

Entertainment is minimal but every effort is made into providing a great show for children and adults a like, one night there is a parrot show the next a snake and spider show.

This hotel is fantastic for the family and we will be going back later this year, for a short break.

Myself, my friend & my two daughters (aged 13 & 10) visited this hotel from 24th May 2013 to 31st May 2013. We found the hotel excellent value for money, by no means a 5 star, but that is not what we were expecting for the price we paid! Most of the staff were friendly & helpful, some a little miserable but that was mainly the cleaning staff! The rooms were comfortable enough, although would imagine would be very hot without any air conditioning (weather not great when we went, so we weren't affected) We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool, which was very nice. The look of the hotel is lovely, very pretty, looks a bit like a swiss chalet! Was a little disappointed, as a smoker, that there was nowhere to buy cigarettes actually in the hotel and you had to go to the shopping centre next door and use a bars cigarette machine or walk to the beach front shops for the tobacconist or use one of the bars along the fronts machine. My girls had a lovely time & made lots of friends. The beach & shops are only a 10/15 minute pleasant walk away and there are some very nice restaurants along the beach front. We only ate in one, The Maui Beach resort, and it was absolutely beautiful and very nice food and staff. The food in the restaurant was of a satisfactory standard (again for the price paid), however, would have been nice to have a little more variety and not the same thing all the time, not really a massive problem though. The snack bar by the pool was great, hot dogs, toasties, burgers & chips, although being limited to one item per child or two items per adult was a bit of a pain at times, as it meant that one person couldn't get something for the other person, ie Toastie & chips for two! I would definitely return to this hotel and so would my friend.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the pool, great position. I would say that if...
