We stayed two nights at hotel el far and really enjoyed our stay. The view is great, the rooms are clean, and the restaurant serves really good food. We needed hotelroom for one more night since el far was fully booked and the staff helped us book another room in the area.

Worth a visit if only for the view but the food is good too. You should definitely look to include a meal in your itinerary. It may be a limited menu but you should find something to choose. Sit in the conservatory for drink before you eat to take in the view. The food is traditional but well cooked and presented and the service is faultless.

Have stayed in this hotel, lovely rooms and terraces overlooking the sea high up on a cliff.
The restaurant I have eaten at many times. The three course menu of the day 20 euro (price unchanged for thee years) including the super bread and wine is probably the best value on the Costa Brava. Never fails to deliver on quality.
The views across the sea though, on a sunny day, are worth a visit on their own

We just went there for dinner and the location is worth a visit. There are archeological ruins next to the hotel which is basically and old lighthouse. It is worth going there before sunset and have a drink in its cafe/bar. Gin tonics are excellent ! Also, you should reserve a table next to the sea and the sunset is jus spectacular. The food is very good and the price is decent but not outstanding compared to other restaurants that we tried in the area. But food it very good in this region so competition is tough... Would love to go back in the middle of summer...

Wonderful hotel- we stayed here as part of our running vacation with Running Costa Brava. You can literally run on a trail right off the property that goes for miles from this hotel. We stayed in a double room with a huge balcony (room #3) with a view of the lighthouse. The bed was cozy, they had nice thick bathrobes, and the service was excellent. Stone courtyard was impressive. Archeological exhibit on the grounds. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast- both wonderful and again, service was excellent. Wifi was reliable. We would definitely stay here again.
One downside- no hotpot or coffee maker to make hot water, would be nice to have to make tea.
Room tip: #4 would be the best, has a great view of the ocean and lighthouse.

It is a very nice and cosy hotel that I highly recommend for a romantic week end in the Costa Brava. The views are amazing over the LLafranc. The room was perfect and the restaurant has very good food.

Spacious rooms, bathrooms with large tub, bidet. Porch/balcony with great views. Slow but usable wifi, very interesting archaeological site on the hotel property. Amazing views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Charming sitting room and central court yard. A small chapel and tower complete the structure.

Light house in the front court, but shaded from hotel windows at night when beacon is operating. Rooms are a little worn, but sheets were fresh and starched and beds very comfortable. We had rain, so couldn't sit on the porches, which were large and faced the sunset.

We ate at the restaurant and had a decent, but not remarkable dinner. Breakfast was ample and fresh.

Room Tip: Most rooms face towards the lighthouse, but are shaded from the beacon. The ones on the end (1 and 2...
