The location was very misleading on the TA website: the house backs onto a large campsite, which is noisy at night despite clear assurances. Other misleading information: "cooker" did not include oven (the property is expressly "for a family"). The house was handed over very dirty and seems not to have been spring cleaned for years.
Essential kitchen equipment was broken or absent and not checked. The kitchen furniture is literally disintegrating from water damage. The dishwasher filter was 50% full of old residue The plumbing stinks of sewage and this smell enters the bedrooms at night. The baths are worn out. The toothbrush holder had not been washed out. Much of the joinery is worn out or decaying or no longer fits. In essence the house needs a full refit and re-paint.
Bed linen supplied at extra cost was "clean" but contained human hair.
The local rep. for the agent commented "what do you expect? this is Spain".
I have asked the agent to confirm in writing that the house currently meets safety standards.
