“Superb Restaurant”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We thought the restauant was very nice inside and the food was lovely. The service is excellent. Free lemon cello at the end was a lovely touch. The vegetable platter to start was one of the best starters we have ever had. Joint first place with another restaurant at this resort.

“Like Mama used to cook in Roma!!!!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Ate here twice in early October 2012, a little hidden away but definitely worth finding.
As there are not a lot of true Spanish restaurants in Golf del Sur, we found this wonderful Italian restaurant with a spanish twist the best on offer, they have a small Tapas menu but better still cook local fish and meats with an Italian touch.
We had simple bruschetta's to start with, topped with tomatoes, garlic and basil and another topped with Serrano ham, these were followed by local Seabass and Dorade (Bream) which were Filletted and Served at the table with a wonderful roasted vegetables and sautéd potatoes. We finished our meal with Tiramisu and the homemade Limoncello which is just wonderful, it is cream based so rich and velvety and they leave you a little flask on the table to help yourself, three glasses is enough though!!!!
On our second visit we had the salmon carpaccio and tomato bread, followed by a mammoth T-bone Steak and my girlfriend had Rigatoni Arrabiati which were both delicious, we did not have dessert as we did not want to spoil the Limoncello.
The restaurant is definitely a few levels higher than the 3 courses for €9 around the town but well worth it, both nights we eat really well and with a good bottle of wine we spent between €50 to €60 which we felt was really good value for money, there are a couple of reviews on here about bad service which I cannot comment on as we were not there but we had great service from the Restaurant Manager and the Chef/Proprietor who came out to the restaurant to talk to customers, fillet fish, Flambé dishes and sometimes just to sit outside away from the heat of the kitchen with a glass of vino tinto!!!!!
All in all it was our Favourite Restaurant of the Holiday and we would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for that meal with a little bit more than the rest.

PS The restaurant is in Golf Del Sur next door to Dabda's but is set off the road up a short path, find it and Enjoy it.

“Excellent, make the effort to find the place.”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We have been going here on and off for about three years now.
I have never had a bad meal here yet.

It is sat back away from the main road going though the Golf.
There is a flashing sign that says "Mama Roma", (it is to the left of Dabdas) look out for it, then walk up the little path to a most delightful restaurant.
It is VERY tastefully decorated, the tables are dressed well, and all utensils are to the highest standard.
Nice seating areas in and outside.
Paintings on the wall I wish I could buy.

The food is top notch here always.
We ate here three times during an eight night stay.
Garlic bread, pasta, chicken, lamb etc.
All is perfect at all times.
The service is great, the attention to detail on presentation is always superb.
One pasta meal they do is when they finish off your pasta by putting it in a big parmesan cheese and whip it around in it to pick up the flavour of the cheese.
All done in front of you at your table.
It looks very impressive and tastes devine.

The desserts let this place down, but then you get use to that on Tenerife!
Same old stuff time and time again.......
The Limoncello they give you is the best ever, we were given a whole container full as a joke one night after telling the owner it was all I come for!

I rate this place very highly indeed and recommend it to all.
Our bills were on average 45 euros each time.
I just reviewed another place near by and said it was the best, but I am wrong thinking about it now, as they are well deserved equals.

Excellent in all ways.
Try it.
