We did the guided tour during our holiday at the Sandos San Blas Resort. First, there was a documentary film about the history of the reserve and the nature at San Blas. Afterwards, we made a tour in the reserve. We didn't expect the reserve to be so large. The nature was beautiful. I liked the information about the history of this place and of Tenerife as a whole and the comments on the local fauna and flora. During the tour, there were actors mimicking the Guanches, first habitants of the island, and peasants, which was nice but not necessary for us.

2 hours well spent. Really unusual with 3 guides taking us out of the hotel into the reserve. History of the island was well explained and great views across to Mount Teidi and the coast. After the walk we were taken back into the hotel for the interactive experience. Really well done and they have obviously spent a lot of money on this. Reminded me of Disney in Orlando in terms of quality. Every guest in the hotel should do this tour.

Hubby took the Eco tour when staying at the Sandos San Blas hotel. (I have mobility problems so I couldn't do it). It starts off with themed exhibition rooms in the hotel and proceeds to the nature reserve outside of the hotel. Hubby recommends you wear trainers or closed shoes as it is uneven and pebbly ground. It is not for less mobile folks as there is a lot of walking and climbing! He said it was very informative and well worth the €7.50 cost. The tour ends with a presentation in the hotel museum.

Do the guided tour but go back on your own to really explore, it's more fun and you can take your time and also go to places not on the tour
