These apartments are great value. OK they may not be the most modern I have stayed in but they were very well kept and in a good location. Plenty sunbeds around the pool and if you wanted some piece and quiet away from the noise there was an adult only sun terrace which was nice and quiet. The staff were all friendly and the service good. Always plenty to choose from at meal times and there was also a choice from the hotels A la Carte menu if you didnt want something from the all inclusive buffet, however obviously you paid seperately for this.

A nice walk down a very steep hill to the beach or the bus stop is just across the road if you dont fancy the walk. Taxis are also very cheap. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel at a very reasonable price. OK its not 4 or 5 star, but if you are looking for that kind of standard you will pay a lot more.

Me and my partner came back about a week ago from this hotel and had a fab time! we arrived late night but was greeted by a barman who gave us our key etc and a packed lunch as we'd missed dinner. Really pleased with our room, large kitchenette and living area, large bedroom, bathroom perfect size and a full length wardrobe. there isn't any air con but there are fans in each room and you can hire an aircon unit from reception for only 30euros for the week. The pool area is lovely, atm they have 40 rooms closed for renovation so plenty of room around the pool, Estrella and sangria on draft, slush puppies included in all inclusive deal and all the pop you could wish for. Breakfast was full English every day (really fresh) lunch was typical all inclusive deals... chips, burgers, meat in sauce, rice etc but still very nice. They have a Chinese buffet night which I would say if your not all inclusive then don't bother paying for it as its not the greatest but they do have a bbq night which is worth every penny! steaks, burgers, ribs etc. Dinner most nights very similar to lunch but again all fresh, massive salad bar, fresh bread rolls etc.
Bar staff are very friendly and will offer waiter service to the table when your eating. Bingo every day round by the pool - we didn't win :( but every day people winning 70 - 100euros! There is the Europa center about 3-4 minute walk away which is filled with bars, restaurants and shops. Fab irish bar called The Blaney Stone! live music every night til 3-4am!
Over all a lovely hotel, perfect location and will defiantly be going back! tried to book for September but fully booked :(

Stayed for a week with wife and 2 children and were very happy with our stay. Had a corner room overlooking the pool which was nice as it got the sun until sunset. The rooms had everything we needed with plenty of utensils for cooking. Pool was good for the children and very down to earth people staying (Mostly Brits) who were easy to get on with. Its a bit of a way to the beach, but there are many restaurants nearby and several supermarkets for shopping. No complaints from us

We went as 3 adults and a 3 year old and had a fantastic holiday! The apartments were a bit dated but they were clean and loved how they opened up onto a communal enclosed garden area. The pool area was fantastic and thats where we spent most of our days. In terms of location, the apartments are at the top of a steep hill but we got a taxi down to the beach and down to the main shopping/eating area and it never cost us more than 4 euros and there is a supermarket onsite that meets all your basic needs and the Europa centre just around the corner with lots of wee shops and restaurants too. The only small criticism i would make would be the evening entertainment area, could do with being a bit more cozy and comfy to relax in to watch the acts but all in all a superb holiday and would definitely go back!

We booked to stay at the Eden Apartments in Puerto Rico as a last minute deal a week before our stay.
For the total price of £145 (sc) booked through Travel Republic. On arrival we were dropped at the apartments at roughly 11.30pm. Reception was in darkness, as it closes at 10pm, and no-one was there to greet us!!!! After 5 mins we asked a passing lady and she rang the bar to get the security guard! We were shown to our room, which was in the 'annex'. Room was fine but no sofa beds made up for our 2 sons! After a long day I had to make them myself!
Room had the usual things in kitchen, small bathroom, TV etc.
The annex is actually an old hotel called 'Las Buganvillas' which I presume 'Eden' had bought out.
It has it's own reception and pool bar, which was closed as the owners were on their own holiday!!!
Pool lovely and quiet but you could use the main eden pool if you liked. This was accessed by a locked gate which they gave you your own key.
Location was directly behind the Europa centre. This had a great variety of bars, shops and restaurants.
The walk down to the main shopping centre in Puerto Rico was downhill and took approx 20-25 mins and down 300+ steps!!! Coming back up was gruelling........but we did it twice with a 12 and 10 year old!!! Taxis were approx €3 each way and same to amadores beach.
Weather in May was fabulous! Bright blue skies and approx 27 degrees every day.
We took a trip to the smaller waterpark. Lovely area and only €4.20 for 2 adults 2 children on the local number 1 bus from the main bus station.
So for a grand total of £645 for all 4 of us on half term week, we think we got a bargain.
Wouldn't go back to the 'Eden' and can't really see why everyone is raving about it.......the night-time entertainment reminded us of a butlins type holiday!! So fare to say we didn't bother going out of our way to go round there!
Also being in the 'annex' we felt like we were staying at a different hotel, but wouldn't change a thing about our holiday. So don't worry too much if you get 'shoved' in there!

Rooms were clean and bed was good. Shower could've been better. Balconies large. Pool nice and plenty of sunbeds. Adult only sun terrace which was fantastic. Meals were pretty much standard to all inclusive. Certainly wouldn't rave about it. Drinks were also fairly standard. Bar staff and cleaners were all friendly and efficient. Eating area was more like a canteen rather than a dining room. The Eden was in a brilliant position with a short walk to Europa Centre.
