“Week with friends @ Eden = Awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

Enjoyed my stay on all inclusive basis with my friends in two apartments ( rm 60 and 65 I think). After reading some reviews we were a bit concerned about the hotel but all concerns quickly disappeared as we arrived.
Rooms were lovely, spacious with massive balcony/terrace overlooking pool area.
Food was really good and plenty options to choose from. Enjoyed BBQ night, steak was fantastic!!! Drinks were not watered down...I would say they were too strong! (usually mixed 50/50 I would say). Cocktails definitely need improvement!
Most of the staff absolutely fantastic and pleasant all the time, working really hard.
Pool water could be a little warmer but at least it feels refreshing in hot sunny days.
TV screen was massive compare to other hotels I've stayed at and excellent TV package worth paying for. Especially if you like your British channels , Sky Sports etc..
Internet connection was good only on my laptop. On Iphone and Android very poor (it goes on and off all the time). We had to pay 2x18eur as we wanted connection on 2 devices. I think it's a rip off as connection is really poor on above mentioned devices. It drove us crazy at times. They would not refund half of the money for bad service provided.
We took a taxi to and from the beach every day 3-4Eur. It's cheaper if you pick it up next to Europa rather than get it called through reception. Sunloungers on the beach 2+parasol 10Euros per day.
Another little downfall is that rooms are not cleaned every day. Within our week of stay they were cleaned twice only.
Still... we had really great stay and I would certainly book again in future. Excellent value!

the hotel is fine, the rooms are what you would expect for the price, i did notice a lot of cockroaches at night though. the pool area is good ( pool not heated) and plenty of sun loungers etc. the all inclusive is a rip off, watered down crappy cocktails, repetitive buffet, crappy bought in desserts. i would reccommend side stepping the all inclusive as there is better value to at the shoppinfg mall in the town centre, great holiday here all the same.

We arrived at the Eden on 10/06/2013 for 1 week, booking only 2 weeks before travel due to work circumstances. As usual we checked the reviews on Trip Advisor and they are pretty accurate.
The Eden is kept very clean and has entertainment every day, after a couple of days you will know every word to the bingo song, played every day at 4pm, if you hate bingo or don't class it as part of your holiday just be out at that time.
Apartment was nice and clean with all you need for a weeks stay, some of the fittings are a little tired but everything worked. Maid service 2 or 3 times, clean sheets after 3 days, reasonably priced supermarket on site, and as other reviewers have said the staff are excellent, all speak good English and are very helpful.
Entertainment every night finishes no later that midnight.
We stayed bed and breakfast and eat out a few times and at the Eden a few times, all meals are very reasonably priced. Our favourite was the Harbour Lights in Puerto Rico, run by an English couple and with a great view of the harbour.
We always ask ourselves the same question, " would we stay there again?" The answer is Yes, definitely. We saw some much more attractive places to stay while we were walking around the resort, but the prices reflect this, one place we saw was 3 times the price of the Eden, as always you get what you pay for,
Room Tip - ask for a high floor, there are only 2 floors and the balconies are big enough for 2 sunbeds, a table and 4 chairs and quite private.

This was defo the best holiday I ever went on!! I'v wrote quiet a bit but its worth the read!! I read all reviews before I left & after being there there was so much left out!!
So to begin!! :) I went the last week of may in 2013!! Being 19 I went on an all women holiday of 10 women and the age ranged from 19 to 50 and not 1 of us had any major complaints!!
The bar staff were possibly the nicest staff iv ever met & done there utmost 2 be helpful all the time!! We done self catering but ate in the restaurant downstairs quiet a bit anyways from the bar food menu & the food was always lovely!! The entertainment went on till about 10 or 11 in the complex but reading down some people were saying the were bored 2 tears with kids because it ended 2 early & others saying they were kept awake with the noise so really they can't win can they?! ;)
The group I travelled with just went out after the entertainment either down 2 the europa center (2 minute walk with pubs & restaurants & gift shops) or we went 2 the main town, taxi's were only like 4 euro for 4 people!! :) You'd be nuts 2 walk it as its on the side of a mountain!!
The apartments themselves were basic enough but had everything that was needed!! When we arrived our kettle was broken & in the other apartment toilet wouldn't flush properly but when reported a new kettle was brought up within 5 minutes & a repair guy 2 fix the toilet at the same time & we had no problems with them after that!! :)
I'v read quiet a bit about cockroaches but we had none!! We did however in 1 flat have ants all over the bathroom sink etc!! To be honest I was having such a blast as was everyone else we didn't really care and we just get spray 2 kill them!!
As I mentioned earlier the apartments are on the side of a cliff...like VERY high up, if you're afraid of heights, I wouldn't look out the window going up!! But then again, the whole of puerto rico is on cliffs so either stay down at the harbour or go somewhere else id advise :)
There was plenty to do during the days, we done a cruise 1 day where I did para-sailing and jet skiing both for the first time & they were incredible!! :) The cruise itself was 35 euro and that included everything i.e banana boating, snorkeling, free bar, lunch, fishing and loads more and went on from about 9am till 4pm!! Was well worth it!! The jet skiing was 20 euro for 2 of us on 1 jet skii or 15 each 2 go separate!! The para-sailing was 25 each but an amazing experience, many may say its an expensive day out but hey, when in rome!! :) Also the para-sailing & jet skiing is optional!! :)
We also do a safari jeep ride up around the mountains, off road driving ect!! This was about 30 each and was also incredible, we had the best laugh ever!! The views were amazing & it also included lunch & was from about 9am till 3pm!! :) And you could buy a video of it all at the end!! :)
Theres quiet a lot of shops in the europa center and down by the harbour 2 buy pressie but a lot of them will try rip you off so be careful!! The jersey especially, there never legit!!
We had a few quiet (hungover!!) days where we just lounged by the pool & that was grand 2!!
Weather was amazing all week, never under 26 degrees!! :) Eden really is suitable for all ages 2, there were couples on romantic breaks, families on holidays & then us on a womens holiday & as long as nobody is going mad partying at all hours of the morning you should be fine!!
The irish bar down at the harbor is also great craic!! Its called dicey rileys and a young irish guy called thomas is the entertainer & sooo lovely & funny!! So would defo recommend it!! :)
I will defo be going again & hope my review is helpful!! :)
Any questions il be back on 2 answer :)

Room Tip: Big complex so the further up you go floors wise the further you have 2 walk!! Was on 2nd floor &...

Stayed here in May 2013 with my parents (in separate apartments) and two young daughters, Took a chance despite the odd negative review, On arrival we were met by a very lovely receptionist and given keys to room 8 and 9, Lovely apartments, that is until you go into the bathroom!!! Whilst the apartments are dated they are very spacious and clean with lots of storage etc, the bathroom on the other hand was quite frankly grim, it was filthy in places, I noticed dirty marks in areas of the bathroom that by the end of the week were still there! A large dead cockroach also came as part of the light fitting, Holes/rotting in the bath and sadly our sheets weren’t changed once in a week, the patio area is huge with sun beds, patio set and an airer, hair dryer did the job and glad we paid for the TV channels as keep the girls entertained whilst I got myself ready, I cant imagine how hideously hot it would be in high season without air con as their are only fans in the lounge and main bedroom.

Food on all inclusive was lovely, slightly repetitive but plentiful, A little concerned that despite the clear cockroach problem food isn’t covered up? but the service and staff are brilliant and an absolute credit to the hotel, They would be the main and only reason I would return here, they never failed to make us all laugh, were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, Also the entertainment is fantastic, I’ve seen shows at home that couldn’t compare to shows out on at Eden, just brilliant.

The pool for children is more the size of a Jacuzzi so cant say its ideal and the edge of the main pool is very dangerous, such a simple solution of the grated matting around the pool would solve this problem but it appears the owners just don’t care, If they could just update the rooms and invest in a little training for the cleaners then the apartments would match their amazing staff, Met some lovely people here, no problems with sun beds but again in high season I can imagine this place becoming a nightmare and no kids club as advertised.

Will say though that the gardens and flowers around the hotel are beautiful.

We were a little apprehensive as we had be all inclusive in the past and the food was not great - this time however, it was great! could not fault the food or the staff. All very clean and efficient, more than helpful and very attentive.
Our bed was a bit too hard so we moved the mattresses from the couches on top of the bed which made it better. Our 1st night was spoilt by next door having a bit of a do on their balcony til 4am so we didn't get much sleep, but to our surprise no problems for the rest of the week. Apartments nice and spacious, a bit tired and a little dated perhaps, but clean and well equipped.
We enjoyed being at the top of the hill and managed to walk the 888 steps to the beach AND back up again.
We probably would go back again but only out of season, we travel without our children now they're grown up and we have turned into grumpy old people in our 40's who can well do without over tired, too hot, whinging kids! We've done our time where that's concerned - lol! Would be happy to recommend to anyone who would like a pleasant and affordable holiday.
A very nice holiday, we would go back again

We stayed at the Eden for 10 days June 13.
After receiving good reports about this Hotel and reading the reviews on here we decided to book as we couldn't get in our first choice .
Don't expect everything to be bang on as is a 3 star and you get what you pay for.
The room was ok but we got the apartment next to bar which was noisy at night
We complained about the food been cold on 4 occasions to the so called Pr rep Ali.
She said she reported this to reception and something would be done
Nothing improved over the 10 days and I think she was trying to avoid us for the rest of our stay.
Don't know really what her job is !!!!
The bar staff were great and good fun and the drinks were fine
The entertainment was poor until Pete had his day off and Andriana took over and we thought she was fantastic and should have the job full time
Overall we were very disappointed with the Eden but we made the most of it with good friends.
Wont be staying here again and would recommend the the Mirador del Atlantico near the beach
