“Amazing Holiday!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012 via mobile

Stayed at the Revoli from the 6th October to the 13th and it was without doubt one of the best holidays I've ever had. The hotel was stunning, both inside and out, and the room was amazing, very modern. The resort of Puerto Rico is really nice too, and has everything you might need for a relaxing holiday. A five minute walk in one direction will bring you to the beach, and in the other direction will bring you to a very big shopping centre.

All staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, from the reception staff to the onsite supermarket staff. Food and drink prices at the bar were very reasonable, and I also found the supermarket prices to be quite good too. The bar also had three Happy Hours every day, something which I can safely say was very popular.

One of the definite highlights of our holiday was Leo the hotels entertainer, he did a great job at keeping people of all ages and nationalities entertained throughout their stay at the hotel. His activities were all really fun and made you want to get involved, such as Water Aerobics, Water Polo and the ever popular bingo.

I would definitely recommend the Revoli, so much so that I am already planning on returning again next year.

We stayed between 22.09.12 and 06.20.12 and overall we had an enjoyable holiday.
Rooms are clean, modern and spacious with comfortable beds, large balconies and nice bathrooms. Aircon works well and is free of charge. Don't expect to cook any fancy meals with the limited utensils but the actual apartments are very pleasing and ego goes on holiday to cook all day!
In terms of location, the Revoli is probably as good as it's gets without being on the bottom level - a 10 minute walk in either direction to the beach/harbour or the commercial centre.
We spent very little time at the complex other than in the room - the pool scene is very noisy in the day, and this factor, coupled with the very uncomfortable loungers which don't adjust from a flat posisition, meant that we chose to spend our days at the lovely Amadores beach instead. We are a couple in our early 30s but this complex is clearly more suited to families. That being said, there were spare loungers even at 2.00pm and the pool bst is nice.
We didn't spend any evenings around the complex, nor did we eat there, so can't comment other than to reinforce what others have said about the really good happy hours.
My husband likes to watch TV whilst I get ready; initially we thought it was a cheek to have to pay 3 euros a day for additional channels. However, if you don't pay you only get CNN so we bit the bullet! Its a little expensive but you get movie channels, BBC1 and 2 and Sky sports 1 plus others - we know you don't go on holiday for the TV buys it's nice to have it if you want a quiet night in!
Overall this is a basic but nice complex with friendly staff, clean apartments and a fairly good location.

this is our 2nd visit to the Revoli but first time since its refurbishment in 2011, the rooms have been done really well and fitted out from ikea, dining area has a very low level hanging light so be warned unless your a midget your gona crack your head on it all the time like we did,
make sure when you book that you ask for a pool or sea view room or you'll end up with a mile long walk to the lifts, we actually requested to be near all 3 when booking but on arrival was told its an EXTRA £3 per person per night ( BLOODY CHEEK and a flaming RIP OFF ), cleaners do come in every other day which is good and sheets did get changed on our last night ( out of 14 days here) kids club reps were really good though, if you want to book a taxi in reception then you fare will include a 50c phone call surcharge

Room Tip: make sure you pay your extra £3 per person per night if you want a decent room or pool view sounds...

Stayed at the Revoli 9th June 2012 for 2 weeks,we were last drop off and 1st pick up by Thomson's which was a pain. nice hotel recently refurbed, modern clean room, nice bathroom but the shower was slow in draining which caused the floor to flood a couple of times, hotel staff did fix it though but still ran slowish.Air Con but not in the bedrooms! would it have hurt to run a duct into the bedroom??Nice balcony, we had a nice sea view (4th floor left side).basic kitchen equip,TV with free spanish channels. Safe in the bedroom (extra cost). Room was cleaned more than they said it would be which was great. I don't buy into their no towels on the loungers before 10am policy. The 2 weeks we stayed there was towels on the loungers as early as 8am some days and a large majority were unused until well after 10am. 2 days running 5 were "toweled" at 9am and the family didnt appear until after dinnertime (selfish to say the least). Food was pretty basic bar menu was the usual pub grub stuff and I didnt think much of the evening meals so we only ate in a couple of nights. Reps were great though and the reisident entertainer Leo is great, endless energy and very funny, the life and soul of the pool and bar area whenever he is on duty. the bar staff were ok but not all that friendly, but as long as they do a good job who cares, one of them started to serve me 2 pints for the price of 1 at the end of the happy hour one night and because he placed the drinks down in front of me 1 minute passed the happy hour end he took one back!! (nob), aside from that this is a good hotel with a great pool and certainly great for familys.it didnt seem to matter where you went in the area,a taxi back to the hotel was never over 10 Euros. The all you can eat and show night at the western town was ok but I think going during the day may have been a better idea. and yes the western BBQ is all you can eat,if you are prepared to re-Q at the back of the line after your 1st serving. all you can drink though at the bar. Puerto Rico is a lovely place and I would recomend a walk to Amadores beach (25 mins along a lovely coastal path). Go to Mogan on thursday by ferry from Puerto Rico and visit the market. all in all a great 2 weeks, Revoli is a good Hotel and you could do a lot worse. we wont be back to the Revoli but only because we like to stay somewhere different each time but would deffo go back to Puerto Rico.

Arrived late at night to a friendly and speedy check in. The room was spotless, looked newly decorated and was simple, tasteful and had everything we needed. We were expecting to pay for air con but it was actually free. The balcony was a good size and not really over looked although, some others did have adjoining balconies. One comment we read on here before booking was get a top floor room if you can because of scrapping chairs. You do hear this and we were in second top floor so if you can get the top, but it isn't a huge issue. The only other (minor) niggle was that no matter what time of day or night, neither of us could get a consistent temperature on the shower, it would fluctuate between cool and quite hot.
We didn't eat at the restaurant, although we did have a few snacks from the pool bar and no objections, it was reasonable, good quality food. Drinks were reasonably priced.
The pool was great, never had any problems getting sunbeds and the hotel was fully booked when we were there. Leo - the entertainer was great fun and asked people to join in but never pressured anyone. Water polo, aqua aerobics, bingo etc all a bit of fun through the day.
Our apartment was away from the pool with a view of the harbour. I would recommend this end of the hotel if you don't want the noise from the pool area/ evening entertainment. However, this stops at 11/12 so not going to disturb you all night.
We had also been warned about a walk up the hill to the hotel, it was a lot less than we expected and quite an easy, comfortable walk. If you have tired legs or little legs though a taxi was cheap enough 2-3 euros.
All in all it was a great break for us we really enjoyed it. I am not one for going back to somewhere I have been before but I would be happy if I could book future holidays else where and they were up to this standard.

Room Tip: Top floor, away from the pool, ask for a view of the harbour.
