Had a lovely time in Gran Canaria so I wanted to share my experience.

We went from the 3/9/12 to the 10/9/12 as 2 22 year old couples.

- The transfer was quick and very organised both to and from the airport and the Revoli and the organisation for everything we did on the holiday (excursions, transfers etc) was professional, efficient and well organised.

- The Staff.
Hayley is an amazing rep. Very friendly, knowledgeable and proffessional and could have done more to help us. Leo was exactly the same an very entertaining. The receptionists on the other hand.. There was only one decent one and unfortunately I don't know his name.. The others were rude and unhelpful.. It took us 3 complaints to get our rooms cleaned and a further 3 to get fresh towels (as we didn't get any all week). The cleaners were the same.. Well ours was. There were some decent cleaners as we walked past a lady every day spending a good amount of time on each room and they looked spotless. Our rooms were dirty when we arrived and weren't cleaned properly until our third complaint!

- The room
Other than not being completely clean when we arrived the room was lovely.. Lots of space, all the kitchen appliances you could need, very modern, good aircon and a huge balcony, they shower was shocking though.. (although this was just ours as our friends next door had a good shower) it had no pressure and would constantly change from hot to cold and managed to majorly flood and leak!

We ate out everyday and night so I can't comment on the food or bar.

- The pool
We LOVED the pool! It was a perfect size and very clean. There was alway plenty of sunbeds and we always managed to get 4 together. And I don't know why people were compalining they are uncomfortable.. They were fine.

- The surroundings
All the moaning about the hill and steps, I don't get it. They were fine. Such a quick walk to both the shopping centre and the harbour! We did this at least once a day. But if you really aren't able to or have children, a taxi is less than 3 euros! The shopping centre has loads of good places to eat. Our favs were the Chinese wok (all you can eat for under 8 euros) the indian natraj was one of the nicest Indians I've had. The harbour was a nicer area to eat and the best places there were la cantina and terror bravo (Hayley recommended it to us and it was stunning and true staff were amazing!) there is also plenty to do.. We did jet ski's, paracending and one of the best things we did... CRAZY GOLF! It was such a laugh!! We also walked to the nicer of the beaches.. It was no more than 25 mins and a lovely scenic walk along the cost! Defiantly worth it! Also pop to puerto Morgan for the Friday Market. It's a beautiful harbour and the market is nice to walk around.

- Excursions
We did three

Music Hall Tavern - drag show. Fantastic!! My boyfriend went in so sceptical and by the end of the night he was crying with laughter! One of his highlights. You also get a decent meal and free drinks.

Soux city - was a really good night. Shame not everything was open and not amazingly organised but the show was really good!

4 x 4 adventure - this was amazing! Such a good day out with a camel ride and lunch. The guide was excellent, full of knowledge, amazing english and made the trip really fun! Definitely worth it.

All in all it was a fantastic holiday. Make sure you go to Tommy Tuckers, the Irish bar in the shopping centre. Amazing band, cheep drinks and lovely staff!

Would definitely reccomend

Room Tip: Go for a high floor like 612 or below (611, 610 etc) as you have a lovely sea view and aren't over the bar and shows so it will be quiet.

Just returned from a week staying at the revoli with my partner and my 2 year old daughter, we had no complaints the room was cleaned every other day, staff were friendly and Leo the entertainer worked really hard to make sure all guests were happy. We never tried the restaurant in hotel as there was lots of lovely restaurants nearby, however we did have pizza round the pool one day and it was delicious. They had lots of happy hours during day/night and drinks were good value for money.
The hotel is up a steep hill and about a 5/10 minute walk down to main resort, we found it difficult sometimes especially with our daughters stroller, taxis are cheap however.
I would recommend trying Rhodos Palace which is a little greek restaurant near to Puerto Rico Beach, the service is fantastic and the food is out of this world. Happy Valley Indian restaurant was also very nice food and good value for money, we also tried Oscars after we found it was recommended on Trip Advisor we found this to be very mediocre, and the food very average. We would visit the Revoli again in the future

just returned from a week at the revoli with my daughter and her boyfrirend both age 15. had a fabulous time. the rooms were clean and spacious and had everything you needed, including air con at no extra cost. the reception and bar staff were all very friendly and always had a chat. the food that was served at the pool bar was lovely and had a good selection at a reasonable price as were the drinks. although the hotel is located up the hill it was a nice walk, or u could get a taxi for under 3 euro's. leo the entertainment guy was absolutely awesome and made me laugh the whole week i was there, with his aqua aerobics and nightly quizes. would definately recommend this hotel and would definately consider going back

Just came back from staying at the Revoli with my husband and two children (aged 16 and 10).

Here is what you need to know, The Apartments are modern, good size and very clean. The rooms were cleaned on a very regular basis. The staff are all lovely, the pool area is spotless (tiles around pool are slippy when wet so be careful), the snack bar serves good quality reasonably priced food and the happy hours (four a day) help keep your costs down during the day (even if your just having a coke).

The complex is built on a hill, so walk down if your up to it and get a taxi back, only 2.70 euros.

Most of the pubs, restaurants and shops are at the shopping centre, I found the centre very noisy and tacky and very annoying that the restaurant owners follow you, asking to you come in, even if you say you have already eaten.

The port and beach are lovely and there are some nice restaurants there. Puerto de Mogan is worth a boat trip, the boat trip is enjoyable and Puerto de Mogan is very pretty and a pleasure to walk around (friday is market day there).

Overall we had a lovely holiday, but would not return to Puerto Rico, would go to Puerto de Mogan instead.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view on a higher floor

Just got back from the revoli last night...had such a good 2 weeks holiday there we didn't want to come home..myself my husband and two children (age 15 & 20) all had an excellent holiday..this hotel is such a mixed age not just for young or old...enjoyable for all ages. The rooms are nice and clean, food at the hotel is ok (best on thurs & sun) which is BBQ nights, the bar has 4 x happy hours a day (2-3, 6-7,9-10,11-12) 2 beers for 2.95 euros.BOGOF on local spirits & soft drinks..entertainment is good too, my husband and sons enjoyed the water polo every day!..there is a walk away to amadorres beach which is lovely at sunset and nice places to eat there, also if you turn left as you come out of the hotel walk straight to the end until you come to the steps down to the beach, go to the bottom and just on your right there is a bar called Harbour lights which we visited probably half our holiday in the eve...overlooking the beach/harbour,they have a happy hour 6-8pm and lovely home cooked food for only 6 euros..which is great if there are 4 of you and on a bit of a tight budget..they have all the football etc...lovely bar!! worth a try...aqualand will cost you 25 euros each plus 2 euros each to get there on the bus an is ok...only ok !!(if you havent been to siam park in tenerife!!)...market is worth a visit, but is rather repetitive after a bit, many stalls selling the same thing.....
All in all a lovely hotel, lovely place, lovely weather...a lovely holiday, would definitely go back..
