My partner myself and our 7yr old son arrived at the hotel around 11.15am.
We were told our room wasn't ready but the lady on reception said she would sort it ASAP.
We went to the pool bar and had a drink and within 30mins our room was ready.
When we went into our room we were a little on the wary side as the bed for our son was the SOFA not a pull out bed and there were no extra sheets to put over the sofa, also there was no kettle or toaster ( which we found out we could hire for quite a sum of money)... Anyhow once we went to reception regarding the sheets within an hour they were brought up to our room.
We arrived on a Monday and Lorraine ( the entertainer for the complex was off.) and we originally thought our 7yr old would be extremely bored during our stay as when we booked it stated there was a kids club and things he could do other be in the pool!
However, Monday we were all shattered had a nice meal out and had a good sleep.
Tuesday began,,, we went and got our sunbeds by the pool which you cant get until 10am, and at 11am Lorraine arrived and straight away knew she would make the holiday!
She is the friendliest person you would want to meet and kept everyone entertained.
She couldn't do enough for you, everyday she came around to talk to EVERYONE around the complex and im sure 8 out of 10 people have been there on more than 1 occasion.
The rooms are extremely dated, and quite a few bits need doing around the hotel but I am one for saying you get what you pay for.
We WILL be returning and this is definitely due to Lorraine.
If you read this Lorraine Ali says Hello and he is missing Bowling and Water Polo loads but we will be back!!

Set above the town with over 100 steps to the level where you will eat, relax or strole approx 15 mins to the beach.
The accommodation was clean friendly and provided a lovely pool with nice snacks whenever you wanted same. Most nights the bar closes early so don't expect to return late and have a drink. You can relax on your balcony and enjoy cooking your own meal. Bedroom basic.... hairdryer, kettle, iron, toaster & fan all have to be hired..... this was an inconvenience and an extra cost.
Besides this there is a good supermarket next door and a 5 star wonderful Restaurant next door where you will enjoy the wonderful slow roast shoulder of lamb with prune and the flaming hot brandy prepared by the Chef who give wonderful attention to detail while the waiter entertains you.
Do visit Peurto de Morgan, use local buses and the taxi service is cheap and good.
I would stay at this Castillio del Sol again as its very friendly and you make friends around the pool as its small. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: A room on the ground floor gives you your outdoor dining together with instant access to the pool b...

we were here 2 weeks ago & the holiday was fantastic from start 2 finish, we booked this with thomas cook. The apartments were basic but they were spotless, cleaners were in every day but 1 towels were changed every day, the whole complex was spotless as was the pool & poolbar area. The staff were very friendly & helpfull nothing was a problem for them, there is a woman there called Lorraine she arranges all the activities she is fantastic & she stops & has a wee chat with every1 & if your not in2 the activities she wont push you in2 them. I cant give these apartments anymore praise, the only thing is the steps up2 them, if your coming from the centre there a roughly 178 steps, but its only 3 euros a taxi. Hopefully trying 2 get booked again for September, this will be a regular holiday spot for us now

Just like all the reviews say, it is old fashioned and no telephones in the rooms or air conditioning but we never needed it anyway, Every morning the cleaners washed down all the sunbeds although a lot were broken and realistically if it was really busy there could be big problems and fights. I think they should get rid of all the broken ones and replace them. The resort was very quiet cos it was still April. The food at the snack bar was great and a happy hour 4 till 5. Its all been said about Lorraine, she gets everyone involved if they want and ts so friendly. For the price to stay here you really cant complain. Some people preferred the low down apartments where your entry was through the patio and they could step in and out but personally I preferred the view. Did not find noise a problem at all if you shut your balcony doors and wear ear plugs then its absolutely fine. All in all, most people had got a good deal so were happy with what they got. The centre is run down now but the beach and harbour are still nice. Found a week was just enough because its hilly and we always got a taxi back up. I would say its well cheaper than Tenerife. Don't fancy staying during school term I would imagine it could be pretty noisy then.

Room Tip: High rooms have great views and get the sun in afternoon and evening. Some rooms were right beside...

We had an absolute fab time staying here :D The staff were very friendly, the hotel was very clean and the pool and bar and food was superb! There was a pool entertainer called Lorraine. Please take five minutes to introduce yourself. She made our holiday and she is an absolute star. We met many friends here and will definitely be coming back very soon.

Just home after a week here,All the staff are great and Lorraine is so friendly. The rooms are outdated but very clean,My only complaint is the Hard pillows!! Lots of good places to eat,We loved the Barbacoa in Europa center good food and grt music,Bora bora in CC is good and you get free sunbeds to the Beach club for next day which is lovely.I was in a family party of 15 and we all had a great time and will certainly return,You get what you pay for so i think we got a great deal here.Last comment the pool area was the most relaxed ive been to Lilo's and rubber rings allowed so children can have fun x

Room Tip: The higher the room the better view
