If your looking for somewhere to relax but within walking distance of Puerto Ricos night life the I would recomend these apartments they are clean with big balconys and the staff are excellent (that includes the bar staff) the pool is only small but there are loads of sunbeds and we never had any problems getting one.The resort is lovely there are a few bars and restuarants if you just want a quite evening, all in all a great holiday.

I've just returned from a fortnight at Terreza Amadores, with my husband and 20 year old daughter. The accommodation has much to commend it - excellent, clean, well-equipped apartment with a huge balcony; regular housekeeping/towel and bedding changes; friendly, helpful staff, from the Spanish reception staff to the British family who run the pool bar; lovely clean pool area with plenty of loungers and parasols; excellent pool bar which served good-quality, well-priced snacks and meals all day (including an excellent BBQ every Thursday) and cheap beer and cocktails (2-for-1 during happy hour). By the end of our holiday Tracey, Mel, Toni and Eric treated us like old friends and it was obvious that many guests had stayed there previously.
There is a very useful Spar shop next door and a good selection of bars/restaurants by the beach.
I would love to have given Terraza Amadores 5* but there are a few 'issues' that really need to be sorted out:
In temperatures of 30+ degrees (and little breeze) air conditioning is essential - we hired 2 fans (one for each room) and left both balcony doors open all night but the fans were noisy and it was still uncomfortably hot.
We had a 4th floor room, with wonderful views over the pool area and the beach beyond but our balcony was unusable after 1pm since there was no escape from the sun - an awning, or even just a parasol, would have meant we could have made more use of the huge balcony, instead we had to retreat back into the apartment.
The 'extras' we had to pay for totalled over 100 euros (security safe, fans, WiFi, and late check out)
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Terreza Amadores and I'm sure we'd stay there again but at another time of year, when the temperature is a bit cooler!

Room Tip: 3rd and 4th floor rooms have good views and catch more of a breeze!

This holiday was my 4th visit to yhis hotel and i just love it. Neivis at reception is just the nicest person ever and so so helpful.
It is very quiet and no need th dash for sunbeds as they are always available i reckon this is because most people go to the fabulous beach 200 meters away. So if you are looking for a great holiday that is quiet relaxing and family friendly trust me you could not get much better.

I stayed here for one week at the start of July 2013 as opposed to staying in Puerto Rico itself, and what a difference being round the corner makes! The apartments were spotless, and the staff were excellent in helping with any requests (no concearns to report). Our room was facing the sea front and its the most beautiful view from an apartment i have ever seen! We were facing onto a main road, but it was still very quiet at night and we all slept well. We had to hire a fan for the rooms as there was no air conditioning but we were happy to do so, and we had to hire the safe as well. Only issue i had as a social network user, I had to buy access to the apartments WIFI which cost me 20 euro for the week, and the connection wasn't very good. Any hotel or apartment i have visited always has free WIFI and i was a bit disappointed at having to pay for it and have a bad signal the whole time. This was my only method of communicating with family and friends back home, so i was not impressed. The apartments are very spacious and the bar food is pretty good value for money ( Can't comment too much because we ate out most of the time). The Spar next to the apartments was very handy and had everything you would need to keep you going during your stay. The swimming pool was nice and cool in the 30 degree heat, and there was no fight for sun loungers. The apartment is a five minute walk from the beach where we spent the majority of our time, but overall, i would definitely stay here again !

Terraza Amadores hotel is perfect choice. We were in 407 and had stunning view. It's very clean, spacious and comfortable. Reception and pool bar staff are fantastic and very friendly. Safety box is 18 euro a week, internet is 20 euro per week, there is a laundry service for 5 euro but we didn't use it. You can ask to stay bit longer in room on your last day (till 18h) and the price is 20 euros. Our return flight was at 19h so this was great option with the kids. There is spar shop ( like tesco express) but for meat , fish and variety of food you have to go to Puerto Rico. It is 30 minutes walk , or 5 minutes by taxi and the price is 3-4 euros. The is also a bus for 1.50 e but we didn't use it. hipper Dino is supermarket in Puerto Rico shopping centre where you can find all you need if you are on self catering. Beach is only about 5-10 minutes walk down hill ( we had a buggy and the only difficulties was when going back from beach but no big deal). Beach is lovely, kids really enjoyed . Highly recommended hotel and resort if you want to have peace and good rest.

Room Tip: We were in 407, excellent.

Just got back from our second stay at the Terraza Amadores. The apartments are spacious, comfortable and were as clean and very quiet as before. The pool isn't the biggest but the kids loved it and there was never a problem getting a sun lounger. The lady on reception is lovely and very helpful.
The pool bar was excellent value for money for food and drink and Mel, Tracy, Eric and Toni were great, nothing was too much trouble and the BBQ night was great the kids loved it, especially playing football with Mel.
Once again a great relaxing holiday and will return.

We spent first 2 weeks in July at these apartments. They are very spacious and clean and being on top floor (which i had asked for) had good view of beach. We kept doors from lounge and bedroom open all time as rooms get very hot. Nice big balcony pool quite small but does the job of cooling you down plenty sunloungers. Didnt use the pool bar so cant comment on that. Having stayed in Mirador del Atlantico and the Gran Amadores apartments next door we would defo return to the Terraza as we much preferred them to the other two.

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor facing beach away from the road
