We had a wonderful 4 days at the Fienile cottage, by the olive grove. It had everything you need: Swimming pool (our 2 boys, 10 yrs and 12 yrs, spent most of their time in it) comfy beds, air con, basic kitchen, BBQ, lovely walking trails, an outdoor space to kick a ball & play frisby, great local restaurants, & most importantly... peace and quiet. If it had a ping pong table, it would be 100% perfect! (Hahaa. I only say that 'cos the 4 of us are obsessed with table tennis.)
Best time ever!
Thanks Lee. What a great place! Hope we'll be back.
If you want to go and visit Tuscany them you absolutely have to stay in the Val d'orcia or the Orcia Valley to see the real side of this incredible region, away from the crowds.
The owners were so nice and helpful and there was a wonderfully sweet young college student who helped us with booking restaurants and sightseeing tours.
I would suggest this place to anyone who wants to stay in Tuscany and use this as a starting point .
Day trips are easy from here and you can reach any hilltop town in the region in a maximum 40 minute drive.
