Fattoria Armena is a gorgeous place to land and base yourself in Tuscany close to Sienna and Montalcino. Stefania and Alessandro are the most generous and fun hosts. The property is spectacular and the food to die for. We stayed in the La Stalla apartment which was charming and so comfortable. I miss this place and the family so much. It was all perfect.

Our dream vacation felt complete when we drove up to Fattoria and met Stephania and her welcoming party/Maggie et al. A warm calmness filled our hearts as we took it all in. Such an experience Is hard to describe. After being in the busy cities of Rome, Florence and Venice we felt like we had arrived in paradise. For the next five days Stephania was there to help us in planning our day trips to the Tuscan hill towns and more. After apologizing for the construction next door she offered us a different villa that was further away from the distractions and we were extremely happy with everything there. Many thanks to Stephania and Alessandro for taking such good care of us. Diane Flowers and Ed Linsley, Roswell, GA, USA

Thanks to Stefania, Alessandro, Giulio, and the rest of the family for a wonderful week. Our small house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the countryside is magnificent. Special thanks to Stefania for helping us learn about the region and it's wonderful food and wine.

We absolutely loved our week at the Stalla apartment at Fattoria Armena! The property was gorgeous, with long views over rolling Tuscan farmland to the walled hill-town of Montalcino in the distance. The hosts, Stefania and Allesandro, were kind, warm and accomodating. Stefania is also a fabulous cook!

Most of all, our children loved it. We have two boys, ages 2 & 4, and they played with the family dogs, fed the goats, ducks, chickens & horses on the farm, picked and ate figs and grapes, played ping-pong and foosball and swam in the pool. We had one week, but we could have happily stayed indefinitely.

Finally, the facilities were charming, comfortable and well-maintained. I give Fattoria Armena, and the la stalla apartment, my highest recommendation.

This was an idyllic setting in Tuscany. We went with Etruscan-Places.com (painting class). The room was en suite with beautiful views, the grounds were beautiful. Stephania, Alessandro and the family were gracious hosts and the food was "Wow!"! We took day trips into Siena and Montalcino (famed for brunello wine). The rest of the time we painted their glorious property. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great. One had a lot of stairs but the best views.

This is a beautiful place in a very picturesque valley, with panoramic views from the lovely infinity pool. The owners are a friendly and welcoming family. We were made to feel at home from the start and were treated to some superb Tuscan food and met some very friendly German and Belgian guests. They produce their own excellent wine and olive oil on this farm. It's ideal for a family as well as couples. The apartment we stayed in is rustic and comfortable and very clean, with all that you will need for your stay. There are lots of places to visit apart from Siena, (which is fantastic) Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni and many more. The local town of Buonconvento has a some very nice restaurants and a medieval walled town centre, which is only a short drive away. The only setback is the road leading to the place, which is a bit rough at the begining and is very dusty in summer. Otherwise, a superb location, very relaxing, lovely people, great weather and plenty to do.

Room Tip: We had a great apartment, but the best one is by the pool with the best views, but it was already bo...

We had a wonderful time at Armena, thank you Stefania! It was our second year running at the largest of the villas, "Il Salariato", and our visit was even lovelier than last year. Stefania and her family and friends are extremely welcoming and informative, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The villa itself was wonderfully traditional, with old terracotta tiles and a spacious open plan living area. The location of the farm is unbeatable, with panoramic views from the swimming pool, and close proximity of lovely little Buonconvento, with it's numerous restaurants. Armena is perfect for kids, with all the surrounding farm animals, and child-friendly pool. Stefania cooked for us again this year, and we spent a wonderful evening with her family and other guests, enjoying fabulous food and company. We will be back again next year without a doubt, as we really did feel very at home and relaxed here, and this is a beautiful part of Tuscany to visit. Rebecca Mason, Leicestershire, England.
