Our bags are packed and we are driving to Bari today but we hate to leave this nice hotel. We stayed here 3 years ago so we requested room #211. It has three balconies over looking the cove and the statue on the other side. The room is awesome. The Wifi works, the bathroom works and probably the nicest bed we have had in three weeks. The staff is the best. They are very helpful with the car and reservations. We walked into the restaurant at the hotel without a reservation and got a perfect table for two and a spectacular meal. Negatives? Not a one.

Rooms here were of varied size and amenities. One couple had a huge patio and hot tub. Another had nothing that you could call a balcony. The rooms are probably the down part of this, with the bathrooms having a step to get into........not too safe at nighttime or after drinking.

The meals and wine were very good. It has an old world feel to it. Close to all of the downtown services and restaurants. was probably once very upscale town and hotel.

This hotel is worth the splurge, it is more expensive than a lot of the other hotels, but you get a great view, and this town has such great views you might as well enjoy it. The breakfast is great. We had a terrace which was nice to sit out on. The room was big and comfortable. The hotel is central, easy walking to the pedestrian zone. Parking is not easy, but we were able to find a free spot on the square, they had free parking a few hundred meters away but we didn't need to use that. This city is beautiful, well worth a night or longer if you want to use it as a central location to drive from. We are from the United States and it seemed like it was 99% Italians, which was great, since it felt very authentic. It was off season so it wasn't overly crowded but there were more people there than I had expected. This is a very nice hotel and a really neat town, good food and great walking about.

I stayed in two types of hotels in my visits in Italy: either hotel chains or in local ones. This hotel belongs to the second category it’s located on the sea front in Bari, rooms are more on the small side with basic furniture. The WiFi in the rooms was good, and same as local hotels don’t expect any of the chain services like mini bar, safe box. The breakfast was relatively simple but tasty and with good variety. But it was the dinner that was exceptional. This hotel holds a Previous Michelin star and we really enjoyed our business dinner. The view from the hotel is amazing and it compliments the good meal. . Stayed in this hotel for a week on a tour. Breakfast and dinners easily remembered for their quality. Good view of the local square and the rocky point from our room. Hotel is well appointed, including the rooms. Service was first rate. Close to everything in town (and you should walk the old town). Would I go back? For sure.

Room tip: Ask for a room overlooking the square or the water.
