This is a sprawling serene and relaxing hotel with a huge open air courtyard! The pool is in a beautiful setting. The spa has indoor heated pool and all the amenities.
The bar is small, airy and comfortable, ask for bartender Pietro, he has an uncanny knack for remembering your drink order!! There are also bikes available for rent!

A great property which could have been turned into a real gem. But not.Location - relaxing and perfect to indulge into the pugliese countryside.A great front desk associate named Alessia - the only reason apart from the location to stay here. Endowed with a great personality, genuine, professional, she is the only one on the staff who understands her job and cares. The rest are just on the clock and, regardless of their age group, are careless and act in a very amateur-like way. It may be them, or the lack of proper management, training, or all these factors combined. The swimming pool opens at 10:00 A.M., so you should forget about that morning dip before breakfast, the latter is over by 10:30. Water doesn’t look nor feels clean, not even transparent. Breakfast is served in a morguelike room in the basement next to a tired health-center begging for refurb. Breakfast selection would be a total disaster but here the gorgeous climate saves the day: nuts, fruit, local cheeses and cold cuts, and, of course, exquisite pastries - everything produced by external suppliers is really good. What is prepared in-house is a total miss - from the soggy oily scrambled eggs in the morning to the dinner courses. We had dinner one night and every dish was a disappointment. Tasteless, incomplete, lacking the savors and flavors that are so present in Italian cuisine. The maitre’d/sommelier is extremely good at hearing about the guest’s wine taste and heartily recommending a local wine which is thousands miles away. One can only guess why he would do this...Housekeeping is a joke: always a different set of towels, different ways to do downturn service every single night ranging from none to pillow mint plus a teabag/pillowmint only/teabag only, and no mints-no teabags but some manipulation with the bedspread (doesn’t happen the nights you get mints or teabags), never an attempt to clean the terrace and the furniture there, so that the in-room breakfast can be served directly on a table covered with dust and bird feces. And you actually have to point out that you prefer a clean table on your terrace so that you have to ask the surprised waiter to use the cart instead. Once again, a nice property is not enough to make a nice hotel. It is sad that the staff take no pride in their jobs nor in their beautiful region full of history and traditions. They simply don’t care, why then would you bother to honor this place with a stay?

We stayed here for a week and for 5 of those days we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We found it to be a hotel with a split personality.

We arrived on a friday, by Saturday morning the hotel was incredibly busy, which included two large parties with a lot of children. This made the pool area feel more like a Centre Parcs experience, very noisy and even Segways speeding around the bar and pool.
A heated, public argument by one particularly aggressive guest and the staff did nothing to help the ambience.

This isn’t what we’d expected at all, and were quite concerned.
However the rest of the stay was bliss. It was like a different hotel, quiet and peaceful.

We enjoyed the location of our room, we’d asked for a sea view, and room 210 had a side view, although the rest was dominated by a dirt track. We didn’t really mind, it’s the countryside after all.
I do agree with a previous reviewer however, the rooms are very tired, on the last day the shower control came away in my hand! There was also no full length mirror in the suite.
The jewel in the hotel’s crown is the restaurant.
We booked half board, their Gourmet Experience, and it certainly lived up to its name.
The food is completely amazing! I don’t know how the kitchen manages to produce such a high standard with so many guests to cater for. Vito and his waiting staff are so attentive and work so hard.

I feel I must give a special mention to the lifeguard (Carlos?), I’ve never seen anyone keep a pool area so pristine!

I have to say all the staff are lovely, and it does make a difference to your holiday

And just for you Luciana - grazie mille e ci rivedremo presto!

The views and actual property are stunning. Some of the best food we've ever had. The recommendation for the beach club was amazing. One recommendation would be to have an on-site ATM as the property is a distance from town, and we wanted to tip upon arrival. It is also difficult for the hotel to make change, so that makes tipping a challenge. Another recommendation is to ensure the AC operates at a higher level and cools the rooms more efficiently. The rooms are well appointed, but the AC is not very strong and not very cold, which makes for a difficult night's sleep. The area is not a very breezy one, so opening the doors or windows was not much help, and there were some bugs that we did not want to have in our room. Overall, one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at.

Room tip: Request a sea view.

The Maseria styled resort impressed my wife and I over a three day stay and proved a convenient base to tour the many nearby attractions.

At less than €475 inclusive of breakfast for the three nights, we felt it delivered abundantly.

Check in was seamless and assistance was readily available to assist with the bags and even to park our car. Reception staff were thoroughly delightful throughout the stay.

The room allocated was on the top of three levels being # 205 and afforded both sea and countryside views from the generous sized furnished balcony. The room whilst not large was well presented and spotlessly clean. Ample towels were supplied, tea/coffee making facilities and a coffee machine as well as plush dressing gowns. The shower was a bath combo. The bedding was appropriately luxurious and the bed comfortable.

Public areas and the large pool were delightful with no shortage of lounges or shade although the scantily dressed pool man (who btw worked tirelessly in keeping the area impeccable) in his micro sized speedos was a tad uncomfortable for my wife.

Breakfast was a generous buffet spread regularly replenished with eggs any style on order.

Given the plethora of external dining options, we chose not to sample the hotel’s evening restaurant.

My only three minor gripes concerned service of the breakfast in the dungeon like basement which seemed inexcusable given the ample better options available eg courtyard, pool terrace or main dining room, the inability to provide an iron and the wifi which forever was dropping out and unavailable.

Overall, we left at the civilised check out time of noon more than satisfied and certainly comfortable to recommend.
