The Park is very large and you definitely need great walking shoes even if you take city transportation to get to the park....but lovely!!

“A walkaway from traffic”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Monza Park is a wonderful huge walled park very close to Milan city (around 30 minutes drive) located in the cozy town of Monza.
Unexpectedely, the park is also the site of the famous F1 track, and if you go in the area you can even walk or bike in the famous parabolic curves that were once part of the track and that were dropped from the circuite several years ago since they were too dangerous.
There are several areas in the park worth a stop, Villa Reale, F1 track area, the Golf course area; wherever you go you are immersed in green and if you like biking, then I suggest you rent in Viale Cavriga (the main road crossing the park, closed to traffic in summer and on weekends) a bike or an old 4-wheel vehicle that allows you to roam around this beautiful area.
There are good panel indications everywhere, so you should not get lost.
If you want to dare a little more, there are wonderful hikes or mountain bike tracks along the Lambro river crossing the park that really deserve an hour of your time.

Peaceful beautiful park. Lots of shaded places to escape from the heat of the summer! Look out for the turtle pond.

“Walk in the Park”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Beautiful, old fashioned, you can go for a long stroll und trees that are many stories high! There are little stands here and there where you can buy an ice cream cone, or a cold drink, or something to eat. People go by on bicycles, horses, skates...sweet place!

“Molto bello!”

This place is very nice. By bicycle, rollerblades or just for a walk is very relaxing clean and quiet. Close to the famous F1 track.
