Owner description: Since 1922 up until today, memorable pages of motor racing and motorcycling history have been written on the Monza Circuit. The best drivers, the most famous cars, the most important events have created a special legend which has existed for almost 100 years. Autodromo Nazionale Monza is placed within Monza Park which belongs to the cities of Monza and Milan. Monza Circuit was built in 1922, in only 110 days, both for competitions and for motor (auto & motor cycle) testing (Brooklands was built in 1907 and Indianapolis in 1909). Since then, the Italian Grand Prix has always taken place on the Monza track (except during the war years and a few other occasions). The location of the Circuit in Monza Park, is unique in the world. This natural setting is both attractive and delightful. Its location favours the organisation of events and meeting in open areas for exibitions, entertainment and music and supported by internal structures, as a restaurant with 350 places, a 160-person self-service and 2 bars, one bank counter and one information office which are open during the main events. Moreover there are sport and technical shops and a specialized bookstore with international and rare editions. The park offers also other facilities as swimming pool, camping, 18-hole golf course, manège and bicycle rental.

If ever there is a Formula One race to see this one should be high on your list especially if you are a Ferrari fan. But one must also be prepared for the 'trek' in getting there. Unless you camp out in the Park the daily trek can be quite an event in itself. On the weekend of the race there are free shuttle bus services from the train station but even after you get off of the bus in the park there is a good 15 - 20 minute walk to the entrance of circuit. The crowds are huge, they are passionate, they are F1 savy and they are fabulous!!

Grandstand at Primo Variante was only steps and very uncomfortable. Worse it seemed unsafe when full and everyone was moving

The atmosphere was fantastic, loads of food and drink on the way to the stands. Delicious hot dogs cooked on a BBQ! although you should be prepared for the long, long walk to get to the circuit. We have a view of the first chicane and we think it was the best place to be. Would love to go again.

Its a very special feeling to be at the formula one at Monza. This classical track is a must to visit if You are a Ferrarifan. Its easy to get there by train. But do not leave the train at Monza station. Do continue to Lesmo di Biasione because then You only have a couple of hundred meters to the racetrack. Its an old racetrack, and i cant understand why they dont invest in better facilities. The toilets arent that great, and there´s alot of waiting if You want to buy a cup of coffee or have something to eat. But the good thing is that You can bring everything that You need in the backpack. No questions asked from the staff. I really recommend Monza. Forza Ferrari!

I've been going to F1 races since 1970 and this was my first trip to Monza...but not my last! Open grandstands on Friday (if you have grandstand seating) was great and helped me decide where I'll sit next trip. I recommend sitting at the 1st and 2nd chicanes. Would be great if food and beverages were available within the seating area as long lines developed for food etc. It would be even better if vendors walked through the stands selling food and beverages like at American sporting events. Stayed close to the circuit which was invaluable.
