“Cosy but not comfy cottage”

Sadly the cottage did not live up to our expectations. To start with certain areas weren't very clean - the rug in the hallway was muddy, the tablecloth on the kitchen table hadn't been changed and was covered in stains and there were cobwebs on the window sills in the lounge. There was no comfortable seating for more than one person in the living room as the bed settee was not only very uncomfortable to sit on it also had an distinct odour of dog! There was a lack of cooking implements and general purpose knives and chopping boards and as we were staying for a week preparing and cooking meals was challenging especially as the work surface had to serve as a storage area for crockery and glassware as there were no storage cupboards. There is also an amazing amount of 'unusual' tat stored in every available space such as a fish tank containing an assortment of light fittings and bulbs on top of an old wardrobe in the living room and a paddle for a canoe at the side of said wardrobe. In fairness the bedroom was fine and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also ok, however when the water was turned on downstairs the upstairs water 'dried' up. We wrongly assumed that as there was a DVD player included there would be a tv - there wasn't one that picked up tv channels and the tv provided for the DVD player was bizarrely located in the bedroom and not in the living room. There was no stereo system as described only an old radio/CD player with a broken aerial. There also isn't a sea view as this is obscured by high, thick trees. To end a few positivesn - Enda was very helpful - unfortunately she was away during our visit. The cottage is in a good location for visiting South West Cork. We must recommend visits to Rebecca's Farm shop and Travara Lodge in Courtmacsherry where we enjoyed a superb cream tea. Kinsale is a beautiful town and must be visited. The Lusitania Memorial is also worth a trip.

My wife and I travelled to Enda's cottage in the Courtmacsherry Bay Area for our week long honeymoon. Enda was a very friendly and helpful host to us for the entirety of our stay. The cottage was exactly as advertised, which meant that it was lovely! Although, we did have some struggles with the wifi/internet.
We had a great time exploring the surrounding area, and Enda even gave us some recommendations of where to go. There's some lovely beaches nearby alongside the rolling hills and adorable villages. We enjoyed our honeymoon thoroughly, in large part because of our lovely accommodation and even lovelier host. Thank you Enda! :)

Had a lovely few days in Killbriton. Cosy cottage was just that. A lovely clean cottage with a comfy bed and all linen supplied. Enda was very helpful and friendly. If you just want a few days away from stress then we highly recommend cost cottage. The views were stunning and loads of lovely places to eat and drink never far away.

Stayed here while passing along on the Wild Atlantic Way and it fitted the bill perfectly. Very friendly family owned cottage separate from the main house, comfortable bed and great views, so peaceful for a deep sleep too.

This is really great value for money, will try to get back, thanks Enda.
