Eileen was just lovely. We had the best breakfast of our 10 day trip here. Great homey atmosphere and beautiful views. Located within a few miles of a great place to eat...the Pink Elephant. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed there for only one night, but what a great stay. Eileen was a complete joy to be around. If you're willing to stay somewhere off the beaten path, but still want to be near Kinsale, this is your place. BUT, don't eat dinner at Kinsale. Eileen told us to eat at the Speckled Door (www.speckleddoor.com). Beautiful scenery and great food!!!!

We stayed at Seafield Farm B&B for 1 night but wished we could have stayed for the week! Seafield Fam B&B is set in lovely Kilbrittan overlooking the beautiful Harbour View. Elieen, the owner was very welcoming and made us feel so at home, and even though we had arrived earlier than expected, she settled us into the lounge and brought us tea and scones while she got our rooms ready. Set on a farm, we had a wander around the large garden and met the chickens and Paddy, their beautiful friendly dog. Our rooms were downstairs as my mum has walking difficulties and they were very clean and beds were so comfortable. We had two rooms which both had en-suites and tv's, with a kettle, cups, tea & coffee. The only negative comment is that we would have preferred either fresh milk or the little long life milks instead of the coffee mate offered in the room. We were able to come and go with no time constraints and even breakfast was at a time of our choosing. Eileen even offered to take us to our family gathering 10 minutes away and came and collected us at the end of the evening as well. A lovely choice of breakfast, juice waiting for us on the table, with cereal, fruit and yougurts available. Her Irish breakfast was fab, with endless amounts of toast, bread, tea or coffee. A very, very pleasurable stay and would recommend to anyone looking at staying for a good base to travel around Cork.

You will find Seafield Farm B&B down a long and winding road. The owner, Eileen was friendly, helpful and gracious. Seafield is a working farm, complete with cows peacefully grazing across the road. We had a large room with two double beds divided by a closet. As in most B&Bs overseas, you will more than likely have to climb one or two sets of stairs to get to your room. But the view of the sea from the large windows more than made up for hauling luggage up and down.

The bed was comfortable and sheets and pillow cases were clean, crisp and inviting after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was tiny and the shower even smaller. We asked if we could use the large bathroom in the hallway and she happily tidied it up for us. There is parking in front and free WiFi throughout the farmhouse.

A small and cozy breakfast room is located on the first floor. It was a very cold and blustery Irish morning. A fire was crackling in the fireplace, and there was hot coffee and juice on the table. We were invited to help ourselves to cereal and fruit while Eileen prepared our hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, blood pudding, toast and assorted jams. This full English breakfast was included in the room rate.

If you’re looking for a four star B&B, this isn’t it. But if you want a good night’s sleep in a clean and comfortable bed, and a hearty breakfast in front of a crackling fire while gazing at a beautiful view with a wonderful proprietor to attend to you, then Seafield Farm just might be your cup of tea.

We only spent one night at Seafield Farmhouse, but I would have gladly stayed longer. The house is in the most peaceful and gorgeous spot imaginable. We watched the sun set from the windows of our room and the view over the bay was simply gorgeous. It was one of those places where you can't help but stare at the beauty around you while taking deep, refreshing breaths. We got in after a full day of driving and sight-seeing and were disappointed when it rained the next morning and put the kibosh on our plans for walking through the surrounding countryside.
We also ate dinner at the Pink Elephant. Another relaxing spot with good food, friendly service, and more wonderful views.
Our room had 2 queen beds and was quite comfortable. The shower was a little weird- one of those freeze to death or melt your skin off kind of situations, but it was en suite and got the job done.
Breakfast was delicious. As I said, it was rainy the morning of our stay, so there was a roaring fire in the dining room. We sat by the fire, sipped our coffee, and leisurely worked our way through a tasty Full Irish.
The sign for the B&B is kind of small and would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it. It is out on the "main" road and there are no signs on the actual farmhouse itself. Luckily, our host was waiting for us, so when we stopped in front of the house in search of more signage, she spotted us and waved us in.

Eileen (hostess) absolutely wonderful. This was our honeymoon trip. She gave us best huge room with fantastic views of sunset over Courtmacsherry Bay. Real working beef farm.
Eileen sat and talked with us and told us stories Very relaxing She recommended the Pink Elephant at which we had a very elegant gourmet fish meal. As we were on a 15 day trip and hadn't had time or a found a place to do laundry, she offered (for a small fee) to do our laundry which she did while we were in Kinsale. We stayed two nights. Absolutely best b&b of our trip.
