The hotel was recommended through a family member. We found the staff extremely friendly and willing to do the extra bit to make us comfortable. The views are absolutely stunning. The rooms are high quality with inroom kitchen, modern bathrooms. nearby supermarket and restaurant options make it easy for food and drink. Breakfast can also be ordered into the room. i would strongly recommend it

Quaint and charming establishment that is perched cliffside. Our room was rustic yet very clean, with an outdoor jacuzzi tub and excellent balcony with views of the volcano, Thirassa island. Set out hereunder are some comments that I would like to make about the villa:
a. Excellent location and outstanding view.
b. Cold jacuzzi tub
c. Absent to non-existent staff from time to time, making communication difficult to very irritating.

Weighing up the plus and minuses, I would rate my experiece as neutral to okay, save for the issues with jacuzzi and missing staff at times.

My husband and I went to Santorini in September to get married, and we wanted a really nice hotel to hold our very small wedding, and Vallais Villa was everything we could have asked for. It is a little hard to find, but we enlisted the help of a couple of locals who helped us find our way. When you get to Vallais, you arrive on the rooftop, and the view to the caldera is just breathtaking! Vallais Villa is easier to get to than other hotels on the caldera because it is near the top so you only have to carry your luggage down about 25 steps. Lia met us right away and showed us to our room. There was four of us there so we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, with a private hot tub on the terrace. The suite was spotless and the bathroom was modern in chrome and marble. Our bedroom looked right out onto the caldera, and the sunsets from our terrace were spectacular, even better than in Oia in my opinion. Our rooms and terrace were cleaned and organized everyday, and Lia and her brother were always there to help us with any questions. I couldn't have asked for better service. The only thing that made this hotel a 9.5 instead of a perfect 10 was because our hot tub wasn't really all that hot. Sometimes it would be warmer than other times, but we never really knew when that was going to be. We still had fun in it even though the temperature was unpredictable.

We were really glad we stayed in Imerovigli rather than Fira or Oia; it was much quieter and less crowded. There is an excellent restaurant that we went to 3 times in the 7 days we were there, called Kappellino's and it's right on the main road in Imerovigli. Great service, try the seafood marinara or the chicken and broccoli rissoto.
I would recommend Vallais Villa to anyone I knew who was going to Santorini. It is probably the nicest hotel I'll stay in for a long time. :)

Staying 4 days at Vallais Villa was the perfect end to our 3 week long Italy and Greece vacation.

Vallais Villa is peacefully situated between the bustling towns of Oia (where everyone flocks to see the sun set in the ocean) and Fira (where all the cruise ship passengers roam.) If you don't want to walk (20+ min) into either town, you can take the bus, which stops only a couple blocks away. The main bus station is in Fira, where buses can take you all over the island. The best thing we did was take a photo on our digital camera of the bus schedules, which is only posted in Fira. Conveniently 2-3 blocks away are some shops, grocery and bakery.

We love the beautiful views from our own terrace, perched on the caldera (like hundreds of other hotels,) but it feels very private because Vallais Villa is not on the main footpath to Oia or Fira like some others are. It looks at the rock Skaros, where you can hike to, and see the remains of a Venetian fort and a typical Santorini church. The apartment is spacious with a large bedroom with comfortable bed, large bathroom with multi-jetted shower and a large sink to wash out clothes, well stocked kitchenette with large sitting area. An in-room safe, air and heat was especially nice with the hot days and cold nights.
It was romantic to have our private hot tub to sit in under the stars on a cold night. All was immaculate.

The owners Lucas and Lia are so nice and helpful. Lucas helped us with a tour to see the volcano and hot springs, and arranged for a moped rental for one day. It was quite an adventure to see other parts of the island, like vineyards and the ancient town of Thira.

We recommend this place highly and would love to return one day.

I always wanted to visit Santorini but was put off by the high price. Luckily I found Villa Vallais through tripadvisor.

Having read the review and the hotel website, I was a little bit disappointed when I arrived at Santorini. The taxi took us from the port through Fira to the hotel. However by the time I entered the hotel I knew that it was going to be a fantastic stay. The view was magnificent.

Lucas was in the reception. He was very friendly and check us in in no time. He then showed us our junior suite – it was huge with a very nice Jacuzzi on the terrace (big enough to host a wedding) with direct sea view. Room well equipped with bathrobe, candles, extra pillows. The shower was very modern and nice. There was also a kitchen and sitting area. It was romantic. Room was very clean.

The second day we met Lucas’s sister Lia whom I had been exchanging emails with. Lia was like her brother, very friendly and caring. I was very impressed by the staff here. The cleaning lady always greeted me with a smile.

Personally I would think this is one of the best properties in Santorini. Fira and Oia seem to be over crowded from time to time and Imerovigli is always quieter. The only noise was from some American guests who stayed at the hotel next door. They called each other from the balcony or talked really loud when they were in the Jacuzzi which was really annoying. However in Santorini it doesn’t matter where you stay it could be a common problem.

During our stayed we ate at Selene at Fira. Very innovative cuisine and friendly service. We also ate at Skaros (recommended by Lucas) several time. Again very friendly, reasonable price and excellent cooking. We tried Imerovigli Tavern once. It was packed with people but was disappointing. Service very slow and the Mousaka was overcooked.

Overall excellent property. Will definitely return if I travel back to Santorini. Don’t hesitate just book it.

Having had a wonderful stay at the Vallais Villas in the beginning of July, my boyfriend and I promised ourselves that we would write them a review on Tripadvisor. Better late than never, we finally wrote it.

In few words: We loved the place. However the Vallais Villas and its staff deserves more than just a few words. Before booking we did an extremely thorough search on various travel and review sites - using Tripadvisor a lot. When we found this place the reviews almost seemed too good to be true, however we were later to find out that they were absolutely true. It really is wonderfully located, very romantic, friendly and clean - and we can recommed it to everyone.

When we arrived in Santorini (our first visit there), we had arranged transfer to Imerovigli through our travel agency. Although Imerovigli is not a big place it can be difficult to find out exactly were to go, when you are dropped off on the main road. So we phoned the Vallais Villas and talked to Lia, who manages the place. She was very kind and simply asked us, if we could tell her the name of a shop close by, and she would have her brother Lucas come and pick us up. 5 min later we were met by a smiling Lucas, who drove us to the hotel. We were stunned to see how chalky white and well-maintained the place was. I do believe we would have been satisfied with any of the rooms the place had to offer. Having set our eyes on a private jacuzzi, we had booked a Junior Suite with outdoor jacuzzi, and what a lovely apartment that was. The room it self had a good size and very nice bathroom with a shower panel. There was also a kitchenette which is great if you want to have a quiet evening eating at home enjoying the sunset, and that is really recommendable to try. The view from our terrace overlooking the Caldera was magnificent. The town of Imerovigli is situated high above the sea (about 300 meters, actually making the big Scaros rock formation look small), and the Vallais Villas have a very good spot on that stretch of the coastline. There was nothing in our field of view to disturb our panorama view, and the sunset simply looked amazing from there. We included the breakfast available at an extra (small) cost and enjoyed it everyday on our terrace.Although the hotels are very close to each other (not much unused space along the coastline) it was still very quiet and relaxing. This we especially liked when we after a long and eventful day came home, slipped into the warm outdoor jacuzzi (32 degrees) opened a bottle of wine and gazed at the stars and the brightshining moon - that was really something. A general thing I like about the Caldera-coastline is the walkway/path which streches from Oia to Fira. Walking along this path you can walk to Oia, which is a great three hour walk, highly recommendable for a day-trip (you can always take the bus back). Walking in the other direction you can go to the main town Fira in about 20 minutes.

Throughout our entire stay the staff at Vallais Villas was was hospitable, relaxed and helpful - nothing was ever a problem. We therefore sincerely recommend the Vallais Villas to other travellers. Dear Lia, Lucas and cleaning lady (whom we did not catch the name of), thank you for a wonderful stay.

Best wishes
Peter and Pernille from Denmark
