This hotel clings to the cliff overlooking the Caldera. The rooms all open onto terraces cascading down the steep slope. We were put into room 18 - avoid it! More than 100 steep, irregular steps down from reception level, which itself is 30 steps below street level. The room itself has a bare concrete floor, a bed, a shower, a picnic table and two plastic chairs; that's it. There's very limited space to hang clothes, nowhere to store baggage. We were expecting a junior suite, but this doesn't come close. After complaining three times in the first 24 hours we were upgraded. Nearer the street and a little more space, a little more storage room, but still quite basic. Access to the bed from one side only!
Now for the good news. The view is absolutely fabulous. The staff are friendly and the rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean.

"On the Rocks" (Santorini) the town of Imerovigli was fabulous.
There are many small hotels/apartments in this area, but we were lucky enough to find a deal with 50% off due to the hotel being new.

The view was nothing short of spectacular and the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.

We booked the hotel for my partners 50th birthday celebrations and couldn't have found a better spot.

Breakfast everymorning delivered on time. Yum and way too much food.

Thanks to Costa and Staff for a great stay ... Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Balcony looking over the Caldera

Oh we had such a great room with a superb view of the caldera.
The hotel was spotless and all the staff worked continually to keep it looking just right. We enjoyed our brekkie which was delived with a smile each morning.
Thank you Costa (sorry for shortening your name), Eleanna and every member of the management team and staff as you were helpful and made every day brighter with your warm smiles and helpfulness. Our room was spacious cool n clean. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.
We will be back to visit Santorini!!!!

Room Tip: There are many steps to climb up and down as you are on a mountain side.

The hotel was really lovely, we found it very clean not just the room but the pool area, bar, reception and spa. The breakfast was lovely and ALL the staff we're so lovely and accomodating they couldn't do enough for you. I would recommend this to anyone and would love to go back.

Room Tip: We was lucky enough to stay in both the honeymoon suite and then got upgraded to the master suite (h...

A very beautiful place and lovely for couples. Rooms were tiny but clean. Breakfast was perfect and it was served to our own terrace. Helpful staff. Expensive area - food everywhere very expensive and restaurants are full. A small pool.

A nice quiet break in Santorini was all we were after in October and just as well as the island virtually closes at the end of September and many hotels and restaurants were closed already when we visited 21-25 October.

This hotel is typical of the 'cave like' boutique hotels found along the coast of Santorini and - at one of the highest points on the Caldera rim - has views to die for. It really is as picturesque as the photos (the VIEW that is). The hotel is simply ok. We booked on a special offer (99 Euros per night)and would have been disappointed if we had paid full price for our suite as it did not offer the trappings of a luxury hotel. One side of the fixed bed was against a wall, the wardrobe door was closed by pushing a nail across the front, a pane of glass in our door was broken, the paint was flaking off of the tiles in the shower, the pool 'bar' closed at 5pm on our first evening after running out of Greek beer (we had 2) and there was a musty smell throughout the bathroom area. BUT the staff were all very polite, towels were regularly changed and plentiful and the massages we each had (in a small chamber off the reception area) were excellent.

If you paid rack rate and were expecting a luxury hotel then this would have been poor but for what we paid the helpful staff and view push the hotel up a little.

This is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World establishment but is not a luxury hotel and is more akin to a bed and breakfast and is a poor advertisement for SLH. Mold is showers, swimming pool is more of a plunge pool, rooms are tiny and inadequate and very poorly furnished, breakfasts are not American and luke warm. Apart from the view almost nothing else is special except the web site which has a special talent for misleading impressions.
